  • Last Game at the SFS

Sad to see that glorious stadium go. Not a bad seat in the house, unless it rains.

Let's send the old girl off with a demolition job on the old foe.

Channel the 2000 QF and all other great Chooks victories!

Do we get to burn it down if we win the GF like Parra did to Cumberland Oval?
    ..it’ll be interesting to see

If we lose, there will be plenty of people from this forum who would want a crack at burning shit down.

                  Stadium is old...seen better days.
Not enough toilets, especially for women.
Not earthquake-proof, nor enough room to escape in case of terrorist attack.
Costing a fortune to maintain, apparently.

If I'm seeing the new design correctly, a lot less fans will get wet if it rains.

                  New stadium?
                  Yes please.

I hear they’re planning to build the new ground to the exact specifications of the old Sports Ground. The Turner stand has been preserved and will be reinstalled.

I remember being young and going to a concert when they opened it ( think it was for the opening ) different bands played the only one i can remember is Dragon. I was about 12 i think and thought it was very cool sitting on the field. Used to play at the old Sports Ground for the Crocs come finals time so the SFS was world class at the time
