      • NRL counsel: "Your left forearm and hand comes up under Feki's right arm. It's very difficult to tell but it doesn't appear to me that's an action of a wrap or attempt to wrap."

        Slater: "I disagree with that."

        • Greg McCallum, Paul Crawley and Kent on NRL360 all said it's a shoulder charge but he'll get off because of emotion.

          • Both lawyers now fronting the panel with still images of the tackle, with La Surdo continuing to argue about the lack of wrapping action.

            • La Surdo's argument centres around his assertion Slater made no attempt to wrap his arms around Feki during the tackle.

"The right arm had to go somewhere and that was the most natural position for the arm to be given he was travelling at such speed," La Surdo said.

"There was an inevitability there was going to be contact. Whether it was going to be a lawful tackle or unlawful tackle … he had an option."

              I like La Surdo's arguments

              • slaters defence arguing he had his right hand wrapped over Feki’s arm and left hand underneath Feki’s arm at main point of contact. Says force of collision of hips caused the bounce apart and why separation than occurred.

                thats bullshit hahha

                • I doubt all the talk by the prosecutor or the defence makes much difference. The panel will have all seen the tackle and made their minds up already.

I doubt he gets off. The ref on the field called it a shoulder charge. The MRC called it a shoulder charge. Massive call by the judiciary to turn it around now.

                  • James Hooper from judiciary: Unprecedented scenes where a player is standing and walking through the tackle. Slater has mounted a brilliant argument.

apperently hes mounted an absolutely incredible defence. but hoopers a meat head

                        • Going by Storm's defence it sounds like Feki should be charged !!! Lol.

                          • sounds like the NRL prosecutor is heavily overmatched in this case, such a terrible look for the NRL in the most important judiciary case having a rookie prosecutor defending their stance to rub out the shoulder charge.

                            • NRL counsel Anthony La Surdo has finished stating his case.

                              It's Billy Slater's lawyer Nick Ghabar's turn.
