should anyone attempt a charge and Contact with head or neck. 6 weeks minimum. Run the risk for the reward of intimidation

fwiw Lockyer was part of the team that didn’t think the rule through so slaters case tarred with the brush of shoulder charge. There Lockyer can take some blame on this. Irony

I don't think the crime deserves suspension, but according to the rules it's a shoulder charge.

Greenberg has created a real conundrum for himself here, he created the base charge of 200 points for shoulder charges in response to Evans smashing Kasiano a few years back. The MRC found no reason to charge Evans so he made sure any shoulder charge would be charged with base on 200 points. It was only a matter of time until that reactive decision bit him in the ass.

The NRL are now in a situation where one of the media's golden boys is going to miss a grand final because Greenberg's reaction. The issue is not whether or not it's a shoulder charge, it clearly is, the issue is Todd made the grade 1 base penalty 200 points.

If Slater gets off, Todd should probably resign. I don't think it's worthy of a suspension, but the rules are rules. If he's cleared (which I'm expecting) the NRL will be confirmed as a farce.
