We needed our best team to be fit, well, and playing to their best potential to win...seems to me.

Interesting question. If Slater allowed to play then they have set a precedent that permits shoulder charges as long as opposing hand makes first contact.

if this tackle is unclear whether it is illegal then we now see this being a target range of about 6 inches from it being ok to a higher risk of concussions

this is risk that the NRL want reduced in the game
