Been at work all day so just catching up on GF stuff.
I like many on here have flogged this issue over the past 24hrs. I promise you all that this will be my last post on the matter
For the whole year the refs have been blamed for making poor decisions. This time though the correct call was made.
From every angel that was a shoulder charge. His hand just happened to be there unintentionally. To clear him was clear bias. And the NRL obviously don't care that they are trying to make us look like fools by convincing us otherwise.
All the people who say he shouldn't have been allowed to miss a grand final for that have argued based on emotion and not to the letter of the law.
The match review committee weren't there to decide whether he missed the grand final. They were there to rule on whether or not he missed a game. The fact that game would have been the final is irrelevant to the discussion. If the NRL had any integrity left it would admit that it's because of who he is he was let off. If this was a JWH or Fifita or Napa they would have been suspended.
The match review committee was a show trial. One that has now changed a rule which can be manipulated in the future.
Sorry guys. Finally got it off my chest. Happy to move on.
Can't wait till Sunday when we can beat those Cheats

Really have to give credit to Paul Kent on the matter. His statements are 100% correct.
Whilst i I am on the case I am disgusted that Greenberg has come out and said he is happy with the process and the outcome
I’m struggling to understand how it wasn’t a shoulder charge based on the current NRL rules and for the boss of the NRL to come out and see he is happy with the process and outcome is really embarrassing to the sport.
Lets go Roosters fire up for this weekend and smash the Storm.
Have been told that Cronk won’t be playing.

So i'm trying to get my head around Greenbergs comments. He is saying the refs should have sin binned Slater for the illegal tackle, that the judiciary made the right decision in ruling it wasn't a illegal tackle.....and that there's no doubt Sutton is the best ref in the NRL. Matt Cecchin is leaving the NRL and we are left with refs who have had a season of shocking howlers like no other. Greenberg has become the Tony Abbott of the NRL.....everytime he opens his mouth the rubbish just flows at a rate of knots but the self absorbed ego makes him totally oblivious to it all. All i can say is that a turd on a stick could have done a better job than Todd Greenberg for the last 2 years.Totally out of his depth

Greenturd is a fraud.
Look up the term 'snake oil salesman' and there must surely be a picture of this milquetoast toad right beside the definition.

I realise that by adding another post to this thread I’m not helping, but I really hope this thread slips to the bottom of the forum soon.
If we win on Sunday and Slater hadn’t have played, Melbourne always would’ve had that excuse. I don’t want excuses from them. I am glad that they will be full strength. I think it’s time to move on from this shoulder charge BS and concentrate on supporting our team.

Against Souths it was the Burgess rubbish, now its the Slater rubbish.
We have earned the right to compete on the big stage, so now the focus needs to be on "us" . ...Easts... as a collective force to bring this baby home. Nothing and no-one else.
You don't waste these opportunities.
