I know a GF is huge but you don't significantly risk our entire 2019 season by playing a 1 armed halfback.
Maybe he might play and order a special pair of white boots to wear for the occasion. Seriously he is zero chance.

given that Robbo was willing to leave him out there with one arm last night, maybe they risk it again on sunday night, but there is a big difference between leaving a player out there immediately after an injury and starting him knowing the severity of that injury.

seeing Robbo usually relies on 16 players maybe they roll the dice with Cronk and the 17th man is purely there to cover Cronk, if early in the match it is clear Cronk is a liability they make the change then.

That was our strategy in the 2015 Prelim, which worked great!

If its a complete tear of the rotator cuff then forget about him playing-he won't be able to pass on one side, tackle or get tackled. No use in throwing him in with the lions

Tell him that if he plays and we win the GF ... and he decides to retire we'll pay him his 2019 contract money anyway.

Why not ? Honestly who the **** is thinking about next year when we are one win away from winning the 2018 GF

There is a big chance that if he plays he wrecks his shoulder completely and never plays again.

Add that to the argument that he'd be a passenger anyway and I think it makes a big case for the inclusion of SOS instead.

Keary will have to do all the kicking for 80 minutes if Cronk plays. I don't want to see Jake kicking the ball out on the full again thanks.

I think he plays. Take the risk. If he gets busted Keary to half and Matto to five-eight.

BTW, I think we can win without him.

Can we borrow Pearcey just for one match?

                        My thoughts also mate.

Cooper is a tough bugger and I think he will give it a shot,in saying that I too think we can win without him..

I wonder if he regrets leaving...

He could be playing a GF next week.

I don’t think Amy detail has been provided... it’s all speculation at this point. The club won’t say much, best to keep everyone guessing I reckon.

interesting hearing Anasta and co talking about it after the call on Fox last night. They say an AC is playable... so who knows..as long as it’s not a torn rotator... but I’m sure not any of us will know until the kick off.

Is Trent playing smoke and mirrors? It will be the most famous and talked about shoulder in the media for next week.

SOS has played very limited minutes in the last two months. Spent half that time on the bench without being used. I think it is a massive risk using a rookie with one game in first grade in the GF, especially the key roll of halfback. Way too much pressure on the kid. When was the last time he played a full 80 minutes for Wyong? Twice in the last 6 weeks? A one armed Cronk is worth the risk. Aubbo to do all his tackling/protection again ( just like Lockyer and the human chin Tone Carroll)

I have a feeling Cronk will play. If not, run the water like Alfie, and direct the plays. Illegal yes, but Alfie and the Penrith guy did it all season.

                              Go Easts.

It’s actually a very interesting point. We brought Cronk here for the sole purpose of winning a premiership like he was the savior of the biblical footy world yet his old club have made it to the GF without him. Im a fan, don’t get wrong, but was he needed considering his old clubs success without him? Was he what we needed or could we have also made it this far without him?

Either way, if he plays in the GF, the thought of him up against his old club for the title is truely tantalizing.
