The refs have nullified the halfback with a 5m rule. All we need is someone who can kick long, tackle, and pass. I favour the extra forward personally. Shift Matto into the halves and Napa back into the forwards. Turn the GF into a smash up derby.

Good observation and good theory .

I think O'Sullivan because he slots straight into 7 and everyone else retains their normal roles and positions. The problem with Matterson is it changes Keary's role too much, he would need to do all the kicking and probably play a lot more first receiver whereas SOS at 7 allows Keary to play something more like his normal role feeding the left edge which is our biggest attacking strength.

Then again I can see the reasoning behind putting Matterson in and turning it into a defensive grind, back the likes of Latrell and Fergo to jag a try or two and hope its enough.

Either way I think we can win if Slater is out. Much harder if he plays obviously.

I agree mate, although Cooper is a natural at selling himself he just seemed way too upbeat for someone about to miss a GF against his old Club!

Both our mates seem to have inside info so hope something comes out again this week, otherwise the whole week will be a guessing game..

I think we can all agree that if Cronk doesn't play, SOS will be in the team.

The only question is does he start in the no.7 or on the bench?

Maybe Robbo will pull a Ricky in 2003 and bring on the halfback after 20 minutes. That was ****ing dumb btw.

How about the Dragons semi in ‘99 Gus Gould starting with Graham Appo and leaving Lammy on the bench, master stroke lol

One possibility for Cooper Cronk not yet discussed; a rotator cuff contusion (bruise/cork). Would fit the mechanism of injury (direct contact to posterior shoulder), can cause short term loss of function in shoulder. Pain & weakness often settles in 3-5 days. Would be best case

Cronk showed good strength and mobility in the sheds at half time, despite carrying shoulder heavily in second half. Don’t often hear this referred to as a “severe rotator cuff injury” but the vision gives hope

Yes, severe bruising to the rotator cuff is a 'severe rotator cuff injury'.

I agree that Cronk was way too up beat. He will play.
If he cant, can Matto kick in general play? If so he plays half.

Judging from the footage of the work He had done at half time.. My clueless interpretation is it looked like they were checking the structure and possibly trying to stop a cork from Causing his shoulder to completely seize up. If it was a tear, the amateur guess I'd make is he wouln't have been able to continue without risking completely ripping the tendon off the bone and possible longer term damage

But clearly I'm not a geinocologist .. But I'll Take a look at it For ya

I think Robbo showed his hand with Momirovski. The way he spoke about the way he trains everyday with firsts and knows the system as good as anyone leads me to believe he will do the same and pick a genuine half in SOS if Cronk doesnt play. He didnt overplay his hand at all in his debut and i believe he could get the job done.

I change my mind everytime I think about it.

Dont want SOS on the bench though, either 7, or out.

Someone else to slot in if Cronk goes down.

Storm are dirty and will target Keary and try to injure him and Latrell early on.
