all bias aside, the NRL has just said that it is OK to kick an opposition player in the back of the head.

Agreed. Everytime workmates mention him (in Canberra) they all hope and expect him to fail. Instead he has gone from strength to strength, achieving so much more than any of the armchair critics can imagine doing in their boring, middle-class lives.

To come from being behind the 8-ball with a mentally ill, heroin-addicted mother (and absent father?) to being 1st grade was amazing enough. To fail on personal ground, take 100% responsibility for it and prove all the doubters wrong by playing for NSW/Australia and winning a premiership (in a season where he ran more than 5000m, making him one of a select few) this man has achieved so much more than all the haters have wanted him to.

Well done Fergo. Glad you got your premiership so that Sharks and Raiders fans can finally STFU!!!

Yep. Chucking a psycho and kicking a guy in the back of the head while he's down (when you've already been sent off and given a severe warning about your behaviour) is the lower end of grade 1 contrary conduct. Love to see what grade 2 is!!!!!! IMO getting sent off twice in 1 game says something in itself... add intentionally assaulting a player who is down (because you are angry that you are losing)... IMO $1400 is entirely inadequate given it's only a small fraction of what he will earn playing for Australia!!!! IMO it doesn't stop here and we should get into the NRL's ear about how we don't accept this sentence (or Sir William's). It sends the wrong message about the game and IMO reflects why 80% of the fans last night were wearing RWB... nobody cares about the Storm and they are sick of the Storm always getting a leg up!!!!

And yes... Napa + Latrell got suspended for accidentally hitting guys a little high while attempting to do legit tackles. Latrell shoulda just kicked the guy in the head rather than trying to tackle him I reckon if that's only a $1400 fine!!!

And the captain of the kangaroos has just been charged with drink driving!
          Will they stand him down?
          Good on you GI.

If not then IMO we should pull our players so they don't have to be exposed to GI and Munster. Nothing our blokes have to learn from playing with either!

His 20k plus per game playing for the roos should cover it.

Deffinately been in the news rp.

They will probably use the 'slater' excuse that there was no intent so he should get off. They could also decide to change the drink driving limit to 0.08 so they can say hes done nothing wrong.

I think we need him in the Aussie side and everyone makes mistakes but there is no way he should be el capitano after this and should still miss at least a game or two.

Im actually curious as to what he was doing running around in the Koori knockout anyway? Surely that's a massive risk for such a marquee player???
