I hope we don't hear 'the opposition plays above themselves when they play the Premiers' argument. I'd prefer to say that they will be intimidated when they play us.

As far as going 'back to back' goes, next year will be a new year, a new team and a new competition. As always, we want to win the comp; the fact that we won it last year makes no difference.

Morris will fill in...wont have his hit uos but still a great finisher...Billy Smith looks the goods

I was just watching videos of Ryan Hall and came across another one of Billy Slater's non shoulder charges.

PS: The Ryan Hall hype and videos reminds me of Justin Carney. I can't see him bettering Morris for the first grade spot. I hope I am wrong.

Nice find dice and I note with some bemusement that billy the grub injured himself performing his non shoulder charge.

As for going back to back, motivation will be the key and this is where the new players such as Crichton, Hall, and Morris, as well as those such as Collins and Butcher can play their part. Will the opportunity to make history be enough for the 17 that played in the 2018 GF?

I had a few beers with Steve 'Slippery' Morris a few weeks back and commented that Brett was following in his footsteps by going to the Chooks. We had a bit of a laugh and a chat about the '87 season and he finished up by saying that Brett is backing himself to be in first grade all year and not going there for a free ride and final pay check.

His old man was great for us. He certainly didn’t come for a free ride and final pay check.

And Brett was the best winger in the world a few years back. We have a huge loss in Fergo but that will not be a reason we don’t go back to back.

He was, doesn't have a lot of love for the club, it was more for Artie. The first time I met him I said I loved him in '87 and he replied naah would have been in the early 80's, when I told him I was a Roosters fan the penny dropped and he said what a great year it was and how he wished they could have won it for Artie that year. He still reckons they were robbed in the major semi that year

Although I absolutely love what Fergo did for us this year I am confident Morris will fill the void well next year..

Although not as explosive as Fergo he is a smarter footballer with less errors and gives 100% for the entire 80 minutes,a great addition to our Club!

The key is motivation. Will they be able to get up mentally after having won the comp. If Robbo can keep them hungry and inspire them to be the first side to go back-to-back in many years, we will be hard to beat.
