The hate's not just in the media. Pleasant walk along the Malabar headland yesterday, wearing my Roosters cap (purely for sun protection, of course!) and passed by a guy who must've been a Souths supporter. He gave first my cap, then me, the filthiest of sideways glances! More hatred in his eyes than if I'd just pillaged his village and murdered the women and children! Couldn't stop laughing afterwards. It was a good weekend. Grand Final win Sunday night, dolphins at Bondi Monday morning, whales off Malabar in the afternoon. Anyone else have hysterical stories and lame excuses from jealous friends or workmates?

My experience has been one of almost total silence from those who follow rugby league and know I am a Roosters supporter (got one text message from a Sea Eagles supporter).
As for public feedback, I only wear Roosters gear within the confines of the stadium where the Roosters are playing.
On a side note, it was great to see some Roosters supporters wearing sombreros at the GF."The price of freedom is eternal vigilance."

I actually received more texts from non Easts friends of congratulations and commenting on the way we hammered the Drizzle.
I also have read only positive comments from opposition fans in replies to the many news stories over the last couple of days.
In fact just this morning I looked at LU, its been eons for me, and overwhelming opinion was of congratulation for our win and plenty of LOL@Slater stuff. That was an eye opener for me personally seeing I was banned from there probably 10 years ago and still am.
But we all know come round 1 next year it will be on like donkey kong. As it should be.
363 days of in your face to go peoples. Enjoy I know I will.

You know it makes sense.

I got nothing but positive comments. In and around the city before the GF and then on Monday around circular quay to Manly many people were congratulating us and calling out go the Roosters!
I was actually hoping someone would fire up so I could have a go but sadly it didn't happen.FVCK CANCER

I got trolled on Twitter but I stopped arguing with people on the interwebz when The Wall closed down. I’’m a lot less riled up by keyboard warriors these days. In saying that, we live in the Shire and my Mum wears her Roosters cap religiously down at the beach and one woman muttered “gee, she must be lost” because apparently you must support the Sharks if you live in Sutherland area. I love the hate, we are winners for a reason - no salary sombrero necessary.

I live in Blacktown and there is a lot of Roosters supporters out here . There’ is plenty of Roosters number plates and flags on cars and people wearing their Easts jerseys with pride . The majority of footy fans here are Parra and the feed back I am getting is they are happy we smashed the storm because they are still not over losing the 2009 grand final to them and because they’ are basically a second Brisbane team based in Melbourne .

Yep it started on the train ride out to the game for me.1st stop this horrid loud mouthed bird got on the train with her mum who must gave been 60+ & 1 of her friends. She started banging on saying the only reason South lost to Roosters was because the Roosters are shit....hmmm that sounds about right. Then it was im just going to get pissed & boo the Roosters who are shit,i dont even want to go,Souths would win if they were playing etc.Not 1 person said a word & this wretched beast kept it up for several stops until she found an ally.Old bloke about 65 starts saying hes going to laugh at the Roosters when they lose & that all the Chooks supporters would be attending their 1st game for the year today being bandwagoners.I deliberately laughed loud & said to my lad,at least we are f###ing there & a bit hard to win it if you cant even make it.Then he says were are the most successful foundation club yada yada yada,so i ripped out yeah & the only club to get kicked out of the comp & how does it feel knowing that after today ill have witnessed the Chooks win more Premierships in the last 6 years than any houso Bunnies supporter alive has seen. The silly tart then wanted to start swinging haha
