  • Fergo’s Broken Leg

Surprised this photo hasn’t gotten more airtime… The Daily Telegraph has a photo of the leg when it apparently is breaking (it’s unpleasant to look at, but not gory).

Bloody good year from Blake. He will be missed!

    Incredible that he played on.

And as one that vilified Fergo in the past, i'm more than happy to accept i was wrong about him.

    Much respect. Incredible heart.

And very sad to see him leave the club.

Bulked up? I don't think he can get any bigger. Im glad he is getting the big money he deserves at Parra. As i said, he will be the first and last player i will cheer when he comes up against the Roosters in the next 3 years

Just read an article in the DT with Mitch Moses saying Fergo can give the Eels the edge they have been missing since Semi left. He is probably right. Fergo is finally showing what he is capable of. I think if he had stayed with us he would have got back into the rep teams. Possibly still could. I wish those in our club who made the decision to not offer him a decent deal realise what we have lost. I feel it will really be evident next year.

              We squeezed the orange dry.

IMO Fargo will never repeat that effort again.

Wait till he has to play next to The Hayne Pain or Jenko.

They will leak like a sieve.

We will get the best of this one IMO.

              The FlogPen .

              You know it makes sense.

I don't often say this about x-Roosters but I love Fergo.
He ran the ball so hard and tried his very best this year.
Next year when we smash Parra I won't be too upset if it's him who scores their only try.
But if that happened I'd probably be worried about our defence and be calling to SACK ROBBO.

He could be a beast with Parra as they are less structured? Be interesting to see how they use him.

And that's the thing... I reckon Parra will want him to be a Radradra or something. IMO Robbo got the most outta him by saying 'KEEP IT SIMPLE!!! YOU DEFEND YOUR TURF PROPERLY AND JUST STICK TO DOING STRONG, STRAIGHT CARRIES... YOU'LL GO FAR IF YOU JUST DO THAT!!'

Parra will probably be like 'the plan is that there is no plan... do whatever it takes to score dude!'

I just hope he stays on the straight and doesn't end up getting himself in trouble due to a fukked up culture and lack of proper systems for players. Keep your head down, earn those dineros and you'll retire well off, man!

So happy that Fergo saved his best season with us till his last. His tough carries coming out of our own half were a big reason why we were minor premiers. Always got our sets off to a good start.

I think his career has unfortunately peaked though as he moves on. But id be happy if he could prove us wrong again

He was great for us this year. But if him going means Crighton comes and Lateral and Manu stay? Then Ciao Fergo.

Also to OP image is behind a pay wall.
