As a lifelong and devoted Roosters fan that grew up in the Ipswich (a demographic monument to Alfie Langer but also the original home of one L Keary thankfully) I can tell you the Broncos have an advantage that is beyond comprehension. The Thoroughbreds ( basically every business identify in SEQ with a multi-million bank account) pump enormous amounts into the club, they look after the players with any dodgy arrangement they can dream up, a bunch of ignorant supporters who all feed into an massive junior base. Players do get treated well up here and they pack a recruitment punch. So the question has rightly been asked here, why have they won sh@t since 2006 (thanks Ben Hunt), 12 years of sucking it........well done the drongo entitlement and good luck TPJ, collect your cheque feel like a king and win nothing.

The Roosters do the same. It's about being smart and using the rules to your advantage with TPA's.
IA player manager works to entice a business who is not associated with the players club to pay the player some extra money as part of the sign on fee.
My business could say give a Brisbane player $50,000 and it wouldn't go on the Brisbane cap as I am not associated with Brisbane.
Why would I do that? That's a good question.

the catchment areas they have and the talent they are capable of choosing from is unbelievable.
But it the funny thing about it is, they don’t even bother attempting to form a relationship with the grass roots football of rugby league. There’s no relationship, simply send scouts to the carnivals and look for the biggest and best.
I’ve been able to spend some time with some of the Broncos players that have been sent out to kids carnivals and footy camps. And they are the most arrogant blokes I’ve ever met, 90% of Broncos players believe they are gods.
Years back the Roosters took over the Ipswich area with the Ipswich junior rugby league, sending down players and playing a trial here, and I can honestly say they are a sensational club to deal with and the players always made in effort with kids and fans.
This is why we are successful and they aren’t, we acknowledge that football is more than the big games, it comes in all different shapes and sizes, and the Roosters as a club show that they respect that. While the Broncos have no care and only consider corporate $$$
Anyway just my my two cents haha.

I think Tapow, if he came to us, would be a small fish in a big bowl. I think he would be grateful to be at a great club and working under Robbo. He knows he can win a premiership with us and have a stable environment to be at his best.
I think he would lower his contract price as well.
If not to all of the above, well he can stay at manly and rot.

The Roosters are lucky they already have a few of them but another one wouldn’t go astray

My definition of what others call a grub is playing the game tough & trying to hurt the opposition not being farkin friends with them all.
The Roosters have got 4 blokes that want to rough up, niggle or hurt the opposition.
JWH
Napa
Radley
Latrell and thank God we have them.
If you don’t want dirty players (grubs) in the Roosters team then maybe Rugby League isn’t the game that you should follow.
The physicality of the game & watching tough men trying to hurt each other is why I watch it.
