Go the ROOSTERS.
The worst thing about League is unnecessary injuries and if trying to prevent them means being called a ballet lover, then give me a tutu!
They changed the rules so that you can't tackle the legs of a kicker. They should change them so that you can't drive a kicker into the ground after he's kicked it when he's off balance and vulnerable.
I think Burgess's tackle was probably legal. It was still a dog act, though

The tackle was definitely legal and it's not something you would outlaw - you can't outlaw hard hitting, even on kickers - but at the same time I have little doubt that he had intent to injure Cronk. I guess that's fair game though.
The issue I have is with the Tatola late hit. That should have been a sin bin.
As for whinging about it well Thurston and Qlders have been whinging about his late hits for years.
Anyway it backfired. It inspired us to one of our greatest b2b wins. And as I've said the great news is that its a broken bone and not a rotator cuff so Cronk will be as good as new come round 1 as well!Last edited by Tommy Smith; 10-08-2018, 05:41 PM.

"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

But the tackle wasn't so much a hard hit as using the ground as a weapon on a player who wasn't braced for the tackle.
