So true. I wasn’t happy with the minor premiership hoodoos since 2014 and the earlier rounds of this year but like he said post SOO that he had to make changes and you can see it and apart from those 2 losses at the end of the regular season there were clear changes that made us reach the holy grail. Every player and coach really had a great year.

One tbing very very clear in the GF was that all our errors disappeared. Even Bennett said that to beat us was to let ourselves beat us with silly mistakes. Where were those mistakes in the GF?

Trust me those same numb nuts will be saying it again next year when the team losses a couple.
Some so called supporters on here have no idea what it takes to coach a first grade rugby league side & be good at it. They were wanting Robbo replaced by Cleary who has won nothing in his coaching career.
I will say it again Robbo will be the Roosters coach till he decides he no longer wants to coach them.

Never doubted Trent.....................even when I thought he was too soft on Friend.
I'd hate to see him ever coach another nrl team.

I will put my hand up as one of those wanting Robbo gone earlier. You have to admit some of his bench choices were astounding. I’ll eat my words now and will never question the SuperCoach again.
Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results

im expecting a slow start next year again, i dont think anybody here should panic if were 5 and 5 after 10 rounds, similar to this year, pretty sure well get a roll on at the back end again though, im not sure why i think this i just do, let the dragons lead the comp after 12 rounds again, and bomb again, brisbane are my worry next year, but well be there when the whips are cracking

it seems to be the most sensable way to manage your team in the 26 round grind of nrl, consider9ing all the rep players our squad now includes!

Also he was criticized early in the season,he changed the way we were playing and the way he coached the team so he did listen to some of his critics .

Or this year after 3 games? Nothing like a premiership to rally the troops!

Yeah early on we quite literally couldn't score tries... it was killing me!!! IMO that's the beauty of being a fan, we all saw the team evolve. Half of my mates reckon we were always gonna win the premiership and that I'm BS'ing about having a rollercoaster of a season. I know others had it much worse, but this season was full of twists and turns.

I thought we were no chance of winning the comp for most of it. Cant remember the game that changed my mind, but after that you could really see us get just that little bit better every match.

                        We improved every week.

Other sides burst out of the blocks, playing their best football early but never improved.

Some say it every year it’s a long distance race not a sprint.

The best coaches break the season down into blocks of games.

Looking to peak post origin. Remember the outcry when we rested players post origin?

Two teams did that properly. Both made the GF.

Coaches know that you don’t win the comp in May.

Wont stop the usual suspects with their usual posts calling for retrenchments approximately 25th of April.

                        The FlogPen .

                        You know it makes sense.

Well thats a good theory backwards but there's more to it than the coach knowing about block games otherwise we would have won before this year. Lets not dismiss the change in personnel and in particular one player which not only brought his vast years of success experience but also a new mindset of professionalism which spread to the other players who for years looked tired and clueless when dealing with adversity at the most crucial times of the season.

Ahhh feels like only yesterday we were 4-4 and had Kong Salvo demanding Robbo be fired and complaining we didn’t have enough depth to go all the way

Reflecting back I find it astonishing that most of my friends ( non roosters fans) kept saying “you’ll win the comp this year”! So many could see it.
