I just can't understand Gould's obsession with getting Cleary back to the Panthers. What does he think it's going to achieve? Just because his son is there means ziltch. And as one ex-player mentioned, if I was playing in the NRL I'd hate to have my father as coach. Too many potential issues.

I'm beginning to think that the Vermin are free to use that paper as their propaganda machine - e.g. the way it rushed to support the philandering dick flasher and now to present this news as a positive. An alternative headline could have been: "Souths sign sociopathic geriatric to replace coach of the year."

I dont think so.He is set in his old ways .His old ways do not work anymore he refuses to progress or change . While he had the rules changed in the 90's to suit his simple style it worked for him including having the best of the best playing for him.No one listens to him anymore no one care except Darius...lol.

It speaks volumes that Siebold couldn't wait to get out of the joint. There has never been a situation where a rookie coach is offered an extension and upgrade early in the season and puts it off until the end of the season. He knows that Souffs are a basket case.

I can’t stand the bloke but he still has plenty to offer. He is still better than at least 13 other coaches & still has a massive influence over players. TPJ will sign with Souths mark my words.
