  • Shaun Johnson

no idea if Robbo/Uncle Nick are interested, but today there are reports the Warriors are not offering Shaun Johnson a contract for 2020 and beyond.

given that we only have Cronk for 1 more season we are likely to bring in an experienced half for 2020 and beyond, will be interesting to see who that ends up being.

No doubt he's a talent but, unless he's prepared to come here for unders, at this stage I'd say wait and see how Lam or Lamb develop.

I think he plays 3 or 4 decent games a year and he isn’t an on-field leader.

Would be great around Origin time. He a pretty handy goal kicker too.

Robbo and our professionalism would take him to a new level. I would be happy to see him replace Cronk

                    He'd be 29.

Too old for a half that relies on his speed and footwork to make an impact.

Benji started to decline massively around the same time.

                      Absolutely.

I reckon he's on the radar for sure.

Aren't many players like him running around. Would be silly not to seriously consider him.

Yep, agree. He needs to get out of his comfort zone in order to fulfil his potential.
Under the right strucuture and coach he WILL go up another gear IMO.

Who says we need an on field leader - Cordner and Friend not good enough for you? He (Johnson) didn't win the 2014 Golden Boot award for no reason. I think Johnson has 4 - 6 years of good football left in him and with Cronk likely to retire at the end of next year he'd be a great get in my opinion.
"Do you expect me to talk"? "No, Mr. Bond, I expect you to die".

He is no chance of going to the Roosters.
Tigers if anywhere with the Kiwi coach.
