    any insights appreciated
I think he will be the Bronco first choice halfback with Nikorima coming off the bench.
They have a very good team the Broncos & it wouldnt surprise me if they make the big dance in 2019.

You reckon? I had a slog-out with the Cowboys and Broncos fans on the Footy Sledging FB page (then quit because work did a big thing on social media and I was like yeah nah, some pretty nasty stuff gets said inside this group so I'd better watch myself when it comes to who I associate with).

Anyhow, my pre-season jibe was that neither team had signed anybody significant and both would struggle to make the 8. Lets be frank, I was right:
      - Cows narrowly avoided the spoon
      - Brisbane JUST made the 8 and got bundled out in the first round emphatically by a wounded Merge outfit

      2019?
      - Brisbane have lost Thaiday, Opacic and Sims. That's 2 key rep forwards and all they have signed in SOS. They're also losing Wayne, so IMO they will miss the 8.
      - Cows have lost JT, Winterstein, Coote, Linnett and Fenson. They've already wasted all that money on Nene, Barba, Opacic and (probably) Valentine Holmes. What are they doooooing? Kurt Baptiste won't replace JT in any capacity. JT (and the fact it was his last season) allowed them to avoid the spoon. TBH with no JT contingency plan (and Todd Carney out of the picture - he was their plan, remember)... they're in trouble.

The NSW clubs will dominate this season and the Warriors will do alright too. Sorry QLD, but your decade is over. IMO even the Drizzle will drop off a bit... 6th or so?

I don't rate the Drongos, they probably have the worst spine in the comp with an aging Boyd, non organizing halves and an over rated hooker. They have plenty of young talent but no real forward leader. I reckon SOS will get owned if they throw him in to first grade. I reckon they will struggle to make the 8 next year.

Unless Souths and Brisbane get their coaching fiasco sorted a year early, I expect both clubs to struggle in 2019.

I can see Brisbane doing well if Gillett is fit and Milford hits form. Ditto Cowboys - they lose JT, but gain Michael Morgan and Ben Barba who can help win you a comp.

Brisbane have lots of home games, magic round, Friday nights and all the other trimmings given to them by the league and channel 9.
Unfortunately they will make the eight.
But 2020 will be a different story if lodge, tpj, oates, ofahengaue, roberts, glenn, kahu all leave as rumored, to other clubs.

If Bennett stays at Brisbane in 2019, it will partly be because there are a few unsigned players who might sign elsewhere in that year if he leaves.

                      Wouldn’t that be a shame.

It would wreck them but can't say I want any of those players to join Bondi. Would take Latrell or Manu over Roberts any day of the week.

Forwards are all flogs. Kahu's a myth. Oates... I hate him but have to admit he's a pretty good finisher on his day (assuming he's not trying to be a back rower). Meh, he can still go to the Merge.

His sister is engaged to Matt Lodge and they have a child, His mother wants to move to QLD to be closer to her Grand Child, Sean and his mum are very close, so decent coin and closer to Family was a win win for the family, good luck to him
