Cook has always been a class act in my opinion both on and off the field, so I don't understand why some people feel the need to rubbish him here. Very hard working in both attack and defence and had a great year, and yes I think he would be a great addition for us, but in saying that there has to be consideration given to what price he will command. I think he might be offered too much money, but at the right price he is well worth considering.

IMO Cook found out a little in latter part of the season. He reminds me of Craig Wing in looking like a champion only when he has fresh legs and lots of room to move. Not worth the money he would be commanding.

Yeah, but nah. No doubt Cook's a good player, but if you're saying you want Cook, you're saying ta-ta to Jake.

The only way I could see Cook here in 2020 is if the experts think he could play half back.

Cant see where anyones "rubbished" him here, at least in this thread. I think he's just another example of an expensive player we dont need. R6 summed up his game perfectly.

At the money Cook will be demanding, no thanks. He's jut not worth putting our salary cap under pressure for, and taking a risk that we'll lose some good young players because of it.

He was pretty piss poor under pressure in the GF qualifier against us. Perhaps he had run out of steam after jam packed season. Or it could simply be that the opposition have worked out a gameplan to stifle his best attributes and we saw the best of him in 2018 and it's downhill from here.

Jake has brains ...can get lazy occasionally but he is smart between the ears .Cook is all natural speed can improve as he is a late bloomer but Id say jake still has 3 top years in him.

If we needed a hooker he is one I would look at. But I don't think we need one at the moment. Cook is a decent young man so it doesn't surprise me he is looking to leave Souffs.
But I also have a sneaking suspicion t hat he has been found out once his forwards fail to perform

One post saying he is only good enough to polish Jakes boots? I call that rubbishing, and another suggesting that because the guy plays for Souths it's our duty to rubbish him is just ignorant.
