None of those players out perform Napalm in any areas to do with the defensive side of the game.

The same defence that we have built 2 GF wins on.

When you talk about the right price I am certain Klemmer and Kapow have been reported to be unhappy with the level of coin their current clubs give them.

How then are we going to be able to afford them at a good price?

As for Kasiano he was fit this season finally but made less impact than ever. The poor mans Willie Mason.

All Cook did was get a heap of cheeky, gratuitous linebreaks down the middle of the field off the back of Souffs' bright tactic of doing surrender tackles then playing the ball quickly. This burned a heap of teams early on and Cook looks spectacular because he was just popping outta nowhere and running a free 30m (as the main recipient of a tactic that involves lying down intentionally to steal cheap, quick dummy-half runs).

In the preliminary final did ANYBODY see Cook? The flog had a halfback nursing his broken scapula and still couldn't get a linebreak down the middle of the field. Can we classify Cook as being a busted myth and move on?

Meanwhile, Friend captained his team to a convincing premiership on the back of great defence (despite having a half limping around with an obvious injury, a winger playing with a broken leg and a forward playing with a torn biceps). Can we just accept that Friend is an awesome defensive hooker (aka a forward - not a half), defence wins games and your halves SHOULD be the playmakers (not your hooker)?

He had a shocker in the PF didn't he. And wasn't exactly a standout in the Test matches either - in fact he was decidedly average. In fact he under performed for the backend of the season, when you need your best players to stand up, not crumble into little pieces. The Vermin are welcome to him, especially at an inflated price - the more they mis-manage their salary cap the better.
