  • The Crowd

Watched the big one again yesterday, and was blown away by our supporters. The EASTS chat was so loud.

I've always rated the pen as far as chants go, but that crowd performance - particularly at an atmosphere sucking stadium like that - was something else. I really don't remember another GF crowd so vocal.

What is infuriating, though, is the amount of shite music the NRL had blaring during every stoppage in play. Insufferable.

And the fact that Ray called us Sydney. What a twat.

The week before was also amazing.

The sad thing is where are they every week? Really only the ones out of Sydney or broke have an excuse.

It was hilarious because in the after grand final nrl 360 episode, Paul Kent claimed he heard a new chant from us fans, which was just our east’s chant. That’ shows how separated people like Kent are from the everyday fan. Imbecile.

It was unbelievable! Normally that place has no atmosphere, but the Roosters fans made it electric! No fans, Professor?

As Easts fans we have to put up with a lot of jealousy and conspiracy theorist from other fans and usually just bite our tongues . So when we get to the game we just let it all out because we are around other Rooster fans and we feel comfortable too just let loose on the opposition . That’s how I feel when I attend an Easts game . All the hatred aimed at my beloved Easts just makes my passion for the club stronger .

10 day voice recovery. was one of the best things i have ever done, being amongst that , pre beering with a huge amount of roosters out side then the onslaught.

The nature of the win made it even better than 2013.

That first half performance just turned the atmosphere into a Red White and Blue festival. I'm still in awe of what I saw.

One of the greatest days in our clubs history and I'll remember that day forever.

The last 2 games were the greatest games that I have attended in my 45 years of following the ROOSTERS & the Chooks supporters were awesome.

I've watched the GF about 10 times which is probably 7 times more than 2013 GF. It could be the backstory to the GF or the year in whole which made this a very special one...Or it could be the availability to now watch anything on demand which makes it easier...regardless this is a GF for the history books of Easts. The players, the heroics of some players, coaches, the Fans...all made it a very special GF

I think if you watch nrl 360 again you will find that Paul Kent was in awe of how good that chant of "EASTS"sounded

I reckon I know about 10 other Easts supporters that didn't go. Some watched at home, some went to Easts Leagues Club etc. I hope we are there again next year and the entire stadium is heaving with Easts supporters - if we dominated crowd numbers against another Sydney club, the commentators that say we have no fans would have to sit up to the table, put their bibs on and have a decent helping of humble pie!
