  • Roosters and Tetevano working on contract extension

Good to hear the club is working on an extension with Tetevano, he has been great for us off the bench.

      Good hardman.
      Good defender.
      Doesn't lose the ball easily.
      Makes good metres.

Just the type of forward we need.

(Un)fortunately he woulda been on chips having just been released from prison. Now he's an established 1st grader with a premiership ring to prove it. Can we afford him?

The missing link from the 2013 squad , an LOD coming off the bench with some muscle.

Ironically I both agree and think our 2018 squad was better.

              (possible) 2019
JWH, Friend, SST, Cords, Crichton, Radley... Napa, Liu, Tetevano, Maubs

              2018
JWH, Friend, SST, Cords, Maubs, Radley... Napa, Liu, Tetevano, Matterson

              2013
JWH, Friend, Moa, Cords, SBW, Guerra... LOD, FPN, Maubs, Morts

              ---

IMO more important than an 'old hand' is cheap players finding form!!! In both premiership winning seasons we paid chips for players who then played like rep superstars. Think...
2018 - Radley, SST, Tetevano and Matto were probably all on pretty low salaries!
2013 - Moa, LOD, Guerra and Morts wouldn't have been on much.

Is the sweet spot having all star forwards and 4 who are either emerging or discovering a renaissance before their retirement?

The problem with signing players on low salaries (e.g. FPN and Reece Robinson in 2018) is that they don't always perform like $500k a year players. If they don't then they take up spots in your top 30 and do zilch (oldies can be even worse if they block youngsters from getting that $120k a year salary and NRL top 30 training experiences...etc).

                Every club needs their toilers.
Well done to him for turning around his life and congrats to him on his success.
A Roosters premiership winner. I'm proud of the man.

Has grown as a person and footballer. Good value signing. Plays with heart above his weight

Thought he was one of our best this year, especially through the finals.

Real good 4th choice prop option. Doesn't break the bank, big motor and good impact.

Nice to see him getting some credit too, plenty were questioning his size only 12 months ago.

                        3rd prop option on form.

I'm scratching my head to think of a better bench prop in the game tbh.

And to think the pundits were hammering our forward pack all season when it's the best in the league.

If Zane was playing for souffs after having such a good year he would be asking for a million a season for the next 5 years. I lol at the shannigans that Cook is putting them thru just to sign again... he’s obviously had too much of that (R)soul of a club hahaha...

Tetevano was excellent in the finals. Really came of age.
