I know that, but compared to Myles and Carney he got off scott free, he misses 1 week and then on the bench the next, after us as fans being told he was still stood down.
Then has the worst game ive seen and touches the ball once in 32 minutes, yea his last game of the season was great but id rather the Roosters make more of a stand.

Super, its not a workplace where its 3 strikes and your out, otherwise Watts would still be at the club.
        IMO he got off lightly.

          Chook.
Perhaps he is being niggardly with reality.

The lad needs sself discipline and the understanding its not just him he is affecting. If he gets off and we retain him, then we cant really be too harsh on the next bloke that steps out of line, soon the place is a rabble, again.

Carney has been out of order too many times, sure is a pity because he has a heap of talent, but he made his bed. With his form, then good luck to anybody brave enough to sign him because I reckon the cost is too high.

Totally agree, i've been saying the same thing, he needs to learn how to control himself and control how and where he does things considering the scruitny was/is and will be under.

He has all the talent, but very little control.

He also got them into the Grand Final, I still think the Roosters made the right decision, Drinking ban or not he let his team mates down and it wasnt the first time, i know i wouldnt want to play with someone like that.
The lucky one in all of this is FPN he got off scott free, if they wanted to make a stronger stand they should of stood him down for the rest of the year.
They should not have stood him down for the rest of the season.
What they did was correct in the circumstances,
                ...his first offence?
A week's ban and a fine was sufficient.

He'll be in big trouble if he attracts another breach notice, IMO.

It was FPN's first offence - if you look back at Myles and Carney's first offence in the NRL you would find they would have received a similar penalty.

You cannot compare FPN with Myles and Carney. One was a first offender, the other two repeat offenders.

FPN offends every week, by being a lazy bludger. Hopefully this has woken him up and he bends the back a little. If Guerra and co, a bunch of nuffies can show the spirit and guts to blow away the minor premiers, and Premiers within a month ( I dont care if Smith and Slater werent there - they would have been smashed anyway), then FPN must surely see this as a chance to actually perform for more than 2 weeks at a time.
Alcohol never solved any life problems.....then again neither did milk.

With the guys we have competing for spots in the back row, if FPN doesn't put in consistently, he will be (or at least should be), spending Sunday afternoons at Henson Park.

Myles copped 6 weeks for his first offence, Carney his whole life is an offence.
FPN copped 1 week, came back onto our bench when we were told he was still stood down, only to find Coach Smith try his late Team changes again and FPN named on the bench.
It was in the media all week he was stood down for another week, he played like he was still stood down.
The day the Booze ban was suppose to of been made he goes drinking with 2 absolute half wits.
So you think 1 week is fine to let your whole team down?
Anyone who thinks that, id hate to be associated with your club if u were running it.

It would be unprofessional for Noyce to say anything bad about Carney which is why he said that Carney was not an alcoholic. Can't believe that some here are suggesting Noyce is ignorant because he wouldn't bag Carney to the media.

Carney drank in Atherton and throughout the 2010 season, he just didn't break any laws or team promises during this time and was obviously more discrete. The fact he was playing well in 2010 didn't bring attention to his drinking habits and the press were fascinated with his new found love of coffee....yeah right.

The binge that about 6-7 players had in a Coogee apartment after the 2010 Grand final would make some peoples toes curl....not that there's anything wrong with that.
It was obvious to all who lived in Coogee that summer that he wasn't as discrete as he used to be.

As someone mentioned before nobody really cared until the media got some hard evidence this was happening.
