Im no fan of Bennetts but I have no problem with what he is doing. He has a contract for 2019 with the Broncos & unless the Broncos give him his million dollars to leave then he is entitled to stay.

Bennett double crossed us too.In fact he derailed our club for a couple of seasons by his actions in my opinion.He has a history of saying one thing and doing another just ask uncle nick.

If the Roosters had of kept their end of the deal with Bennett which meant not letting it out to the media he would have come to the Roosters but someone (Bouris) at the Roosters went & opened their big mouth so Bennett reneged.
If the Broncos give him his 1 mil for the contract he has for 2019 he will leave immediately but it is the Broncos that are farking things around not Bennett. Bennett is entitled to stand his ground. People complain about players & coaches not honouring their contracts but then want to complain when someone wants to honour their contract.
It's the Broncos that are at fault here not Bennett.

The broncos are not stuffing anyone around. They signed Seibold for 2020. I believe that Bennett was signed by soffs hrs before as a strategic move. The contracts say that they both will be coaching the others team in 2020...bennett just wants to get paid out for nothing whilst collecting from souths. Broncos said Bennett will be there in 2019 and they have not shifted from that. Maybe the media is putting too many scenarios to create this fire...

With the situation as it is, both Siebold and Bennett will be involved in strategic planning and recruiting players and staff for 2020 and beyond while they’re with different clubs in 2019. To pretend otherwise would be like believing in the emperors new clothes. Naive and laughable.

At the same time they will be asking for 100% commitment from their players, which they will not be able to give themselves! (and the players will be fully aware of this, despite assurances otherwise...)

When either club goes through a rough patch through the year, this will become a major problem and inevitably affect performance.

I don’t think we’ll have to worry too much about Souths or Brisbane this season...

This situation is quite stunning to me.

As much as I dislike both clubs, I can't fathom how it has got to this stage of self-destruction and blind selfishness on the part of a one-time legend of the game.

This is correct had nothing to do with Bouros..Bennet leaked it out himself -AS JT He was never coming after the Murdochs visit-any club but not Easts,,It was a superleague grudge. Bennet calls Johnny Lewis.. Tells his coaching the roosters and wanted him as trainer .....couple of of footballers and league trainers there with Lewis including Mundine ..and thats where it was leaked ....one of the assistant trainers rings up the papers for the leaked story for cash..all intentional.
