That's who I think as well.

I can imagine Souffs doing anything to get him but I think the Cowboys would be his best move.

Catalan have ruled him out; St George won't take him with Soward on the books; Canberra newspapers are insinuating that he may be going back there because he was seen drinking with former Canberra teammates last night. Fatty Vautin said (hypothetically, of course), that if the Titans took him on, they would look after him; Fittler seemed supportive of Carney, maybe the Panthers are a shot as well.

All in all, it doesn't really matter who gets him next year; someone will, and he'll be playing against us. He'll be out to impress, and that doesn't bode well for the Roosters.

Close to "Father" figure Mick Nasser as well.

I don't think he did that, figuratively or literally. But I can think of a few players who still play with us who do. Should we sack them now too, or wait until the Telegraph says we should?

Oh mate, if he attains mental stability and plays well against us then that isn't the worst thing in the world is it?

He had no future with Easts, period. He has been released and good luck to him and whoever signs him with all the baggage that entails. Just like a really hot looking chick, who also happens to be a completely destructive psycho-bitch, when some guy who's been putting up with her sh.it for ages finally makes the call to dump her, some chump around the corner will go all googly eyed about the superficial appeal and beg to look after her. That was our Todd.

Of course he was always going to be picked up by another NRL club, and the roosters showed class by not sacking him and giving him and his manager breathing space to make plans for 2012 and beyond.

Agreed, but with a couple of qualifications.

First, if he attains mental stability at another club, great. For him, I'll be happy. However, what that will also tell me is that we can't look after the difficult cases in our team, but other clubs can. Not an encouraging sign re our hr and management skills.

Second, if Carney attains mental stablity and kicks our ass, see above.

And third, maybe if "some other chump" isn't a self-obsessed megalomaniac, but a normal... person... who is committed to getting the best out of his... women... they will end up... happier... long-term, instead of just a single year.

Who gives a rats red bum where he goes. We have seen the back of him and thats all that matters. The guy was a train wreck in waiting from day one and anyone who didnt see this coming is kidding themselves. We got something out of him for one season. Thats all. And I reckon we were kissed on the penis in getting even that much.

If he stays in the NRL, he will be nothing more than a speedhump for the likes of our blokes esp considering they have very little respect for him anyway.

He's gone now. No point dwelling on what could have being because, quite simply, it will never be. Oddly enough I feel good about this decision.

I'd say next stop, Cowboys or Raiders.
Cannot see him staying in Sydney. Needs a 'country town'.

Eventually, if he has failed elsewhere, Bellamy will be his last hope!

Sporting stars' careers peak at some stage...2010, Dally M medal...Todd's finest and peaking hour, probably.

Boris Becker, Pat Rafter, Lleyton Hewitt, as a few examples, peaked at some stage and were the best in their sport.

He was given the option to ask for the release or be sacked.

Who cares where he goes, but I would no be surprised if he is in a monumental battle with Sandow for most missed tackles

Our blokes have yet to make any opposition a speedhump when the pressure is on and the comp is in full swing.

Myles was the greatest metre-gainer, and he's gone too.
