Cowboys are out. That just about leaves only the Tits, other wise will be a OS or a year off for Todd.

Its still hard to believe really. A year a go he was the best in the game. Today he may not even get a run anywhere period. I hope someone signs him. I also hope he can somehow turn his life around.

Maybe Todd needs to actually hit rock bottom, with no prospects in the pipe-line, before he finally "gets it".
Henry ruled out Todd today, saying he was happy with his combo (and hinted that the potential problems with Todd were too big a risk)

And now the 'dance' in 'jubilation' at his demise:

                http://www.dailytelegraph.com.au/spo...-1226132568312

Todd Carney from hero to zero

FROM Dally M medallist a year ago to Hungry Jacks on Oxford St at 5am on Monday to sacked by his fed-up club.

That is the sorry tale of Sydney Roosters five-eighth Todd Carney after he was axed yesterday for three alcohol-related breaches to his contract this year.

It is also understood that there was no financial payout.

without the carney cancer, they will shine.

Who came first mate... you or Todd?

                        September 10, 2011

Lifeline … many believe Carney has a deal in the pipeline.

While most clubs have been running a mile from the vanquished Sydney Roosters five-eighth Todd Carney, the gifted yet problematic player has been given something of a lifeline from North Queensland, who at least are only standing still when it comes to whether the club could fit him in.

Coach Neil Henry, who is preparing his side for tonight's qualifying final against Manly, yesterday said he would not contemplate any move yet for Carney. But he didn't rule one out completely. ''We've got to worry about what we've got in squad at the moment,'' Henry said. ''Todd's a fair way off. I'm not even thinking about it at the moment.''

Asked if he felt Carney still had something to offer in the NRL, Henry said: ''We all know he can play, and you can think about Todd Carney and Johnathan Thurston in the halves, but we are quite happy with the squad we have got at the moment. ''I don't even think we've got room to move in the cap anyway. All of our players are retained for next year.''

Hopefully...but they have to prove that yet, over a whole season, in reality.

Well that's the end of that.

If I were TC I'd be grabbing the France deal while/if it's still on the table.

                            • Cowboys coach more or less hit it on the head yesterday.
The France deal is looking less likely too.

                              • Is there any chance that the club is pulling a Jake Friend redux on everyone?

Stick Carney in rehab for three months then hang on him like a fat chick on cake.
