  • The rumors were out for more than a year that we had signed Carntey. We denied it officially many times.

My guess Souffs. They've been very quiet of late, that's when usually they're planning somefing.

Really who gives a fark??? Well bondi-toy does, he has the man love blues.

Just think wherever he goes, whenever we play that team, Carntey will become the target for JWH and Mose and Co. Our bigger boys will relish another Sandcow in defence. He is shit scared to put his tatts on the line.

    The FlogPen .

    You know it makes sense.

    • Anyone who expects Carney, Sandow or any other player their size to be able to always tackle effectively Mose-ilk in full flight is seriously misguided.
IMO the best they can hope for is to slow Mose down so others can join the tackle.

It's when he would step out of the way, when the slow mo showed the fear in his pupils, that shows what's under the tatts.

Sandcow has always had a go in defense, he's just small.

Toovey was a midget but he had no fear. Many over the years have been small but show some sac.

Carntey either didn't want to put in for his teammates this year or he is mentally weak. Either way that's no place for such an individual, on a 1st grade footy field, especially in our colours.

You can smell fear. Carntey stinks.

The idea certainly has merit. If it is true then I say great. Whether TC is a troubled young man who is ready to start turning his life around or a complete ****wit remains to be seen. Either way he can play. If there is a chance for a Jake Friend style redemption then I would be very happy to see that happen.

          • Has Jman 'signed up' TC for his Cafe in Surry Hills?
            Did wonders for Jake!

I'm glad clubs are saying no to Carney. I hope he ends up having to suck dick for his tatt ink. Prick.

                  Chook.

                  • With his talent there must be a job for him somewhere in a footy code.

NRL is kidding if it thinks it can just boot out players of his standard and not suffer losses to AFL as fans are turned off.

                      In the immortal words of David Byrne;

                      "Stop making sense,making sense"..

Anyone who blames Carney's size for his ineptitude in defence is completely missing the point..

Bunny Reilly was tiny for a forward but there has never been a better defensive technician pull on our jumper..

                      Defence is all about attitude..

For a start Carney is not small and is not lean.
Bunny was lean, but looked bigger due to shoulder pads

They have had the same issues over the years, Cousins, Fevola ring any bells? Did their code suffer because they were sacked from various clubs? Hardly! I think sometimes keeping the miscreants does more damage to the code than sacking them.

It's almost as deafening as his denial of interest in signing Greg Inglis !

Lewis wants NRL outcast Carney at Panthers

Senior Penrith forward Luke Lewis would welcome wayward NRL star Todd Carney "with open arms" if the sacked Sydney Roosters playmaker linked with the Panthers next year.

Carney was released from the Bondi club earlier this month after a string of alcohol-related off-field dramas but has stated his desire to stay in the NRL and, if Lewis has his way, he could find a home at the foot of the mountains.

"I would welcome him with open arms. He's a world class player," Lewis told reporters on Thursday.
