Mate...Stuart was let go? Thats just another way of saying he was sacked. Likewise for Anderson. "Resigned mid season" means he was told, you're sacked, but we'll let you save a bit of face by letting you pretend to resign.

You are spot on Ox. In 2007 in the space of a couple weeks we went from being belted 56-0 by Manly to belting the cheating Storm team when Freddy took over. The wooden spoon in 2009 when we didn't like Freddy anymore.

Recall earlier this year the players were allegedly complaining about Smith and playing structures. Carney was clearly an easier target. Maybe Smith will be an easier target when we screw up next year.

He kicked a pretty good field goal against the Warriors. But its true, there wasn't much else in this sad and sorry year.

But seriously, you know what I mean. By "best player" I meant "most talented". The only player we have with the potential to win us a comp. Just because he was rubbish this year doesn't mean he won't be good again soon. He will be, but now for someone else.

Seems to me that a lot of the anger directed at Carney is because we know how good he can be. If he'd been shit all long like, say, Anasta, no one would have expected any better and he would have got to keep his spot seemingly.
