  • Hall of Fame

I would of thought the Roosters being a foundation club would of had a Rooster Hall of fame for those special individuals?
It should include Players and Non Players
Names like Politis, Robinson, Gibson, Hastings etc could be recognised for there hard work and efforts.
The closest thing I have seen is the painting on the Leagues club wall, do they plan to do another painting when further champions come along or just add them onto the original painting?

    We do.

They did a black-tie hall of fame function in about 2010. It was supposed to happen every two years and never did again.

From memory Horrie, Artie, Dally M and Dave Brown were inducted.

For all the crap he had to play with, Hugh McGahan really deserves to be in there. He and Salvo were the only positives in that team while I was growing up. Probably why I think they both deserve a spot.

Have to agree Hugh McGahan should be in the Roosters Hall of Fame. Champion player & champion bloke. 1 club man, Dally M second rower of the year Golden boot award winner (only ever backrower still to this day to win that) & coach of the Roosters.

Not one of our greatest coaches, but that doesn't blemish what he did for us as a player. I'd have him in.
