Roosters five-eighth Luke Keary was sporting a moonboot over the Australia Day weekend but a spokesperson confirmed to NRL.com it was only for precautionary reasons.
Keary had the boot removed and returned to training following the team's trip to Queenstown.
Cooper Cronk has returned to full-contact training following surgery on his fractured scapula and will be fit for round one, while Zane Tetevano (biceps) and Lindsay Collins (wrist) are also back in action after surgeries.
