No disrespect intended BigFella...Just having a bit of fun with it..

The fact is that Jake Friend would not let you down in any position. He would do his best if he played on the wing or as a prop too..

But, we have the chance to have one of the best, if not the best dummy-half in the game over the next years..

Yes he could be a good 5/8 (and probably was), but nowhere near the best IMO..

And yes, your thread was more relevant than mine but since when was relevance important around here...

The much despised Rhys Wesser made 12 line breaks in 15 matches.. some people laugh when he is compared to Mini but this guy is like Usain Bolt in comparison.

Even Jeff Robson with 3 made more than Pearce lol..
Where was Robson in the line break/try assists compared to Pearce? Pearce is a very good organising halfback which is why our pack was going forward more times than not and why he was second in line break and try assists for 2011. Yes he lacks individual brilliance, but he more than makes up for it for what he does for the team.

        Chook.

I can answer that one.. He wasn't. He was tied for 7th in try assists with 20. Equal with Chris Sandow, Luke Walsh and Jarred Mullen. I cannot find line break assists stats anywhere.. Consider that a hack like Robert Lui made 14 line breaks this year..

I am not saying Pearce is crap, he isn't.. He showed definite signs of improvement in the back end of the season but my point was the combination of Anasta and Pearce together is way too one dimensional, lacking in flair, pace, creativity and knowing how pedestrian they are running the ball makes the outside backs easier to target... Minichiello at Full back is the final nail in the coffin as he is slower than my grandmother and she has been in rookwood for more than 20 years.

I have this vision of him going door to door, wearing a tux and riding a push bike.

Then we'd lose him for two years while he went and read from Joseph Smith's gibberish.
