    Received this tweet from roosters

Jake Friend is set 4 a month on the sideline after reinjuring his shoulder in last night's win over the Eels. Get well soon mate. In better news, Cooper Cronk (hamstring) and JWH (rib cartilage) are expected to be fit for Thursday's rd 4 clash v Brisbane at the SCG. #EastsToWin

The Sydney Roosters squad have been assessed following our Round 3 match against the Parramatta Eels at ANZ Stadium.

Captain Jake Friend left the match late in the first half after aggravating a shoulder complaint from Round 1.

Jared Waerea-Hargreaves sustained rib cartilage damage in the second half which saw him unable to finish the match.

The pair have been cleared of serious injury and will be assessed during the week to determine their status ahead of our Round 4 match against the Brisbane Broncos at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The remaining members of the NRL squad made it through the match without injury concern.

Wouldn't be surprised if JWH plays on Thurs, but what about Jake? He hasn't been ruled out from today's assessment, so if it were a GF he'd probably be playing. Is it worth a risk to play him this Thurs? Do we give him a week off and let him recover properly? Don't know how bad his injury is, but if we could get 40 mins out of him, I think it's worth a bit of a risk. I figure the Broncs are ready for a big game and it would be nice to put them back in their box. Cronulla the following week without Gallen and Moylan might be a better time to rest him (if he needs it).

I dont think Jake will play until they are sure he is recovered...expect him to miss at least 2 games.

Sure - Robbo said something like that in the press conference. And you want to know the specifics of the injury before you could say whether or not he should play.

One thing you can be sure of Jake will be putting his hand up to play the full 80. Love that about him.

                      Quit making shyte up Calzone.

                      > Victor Radley knows he's no Jake Friend. But for as long as the Roosters need him at hooker the Clovelly Crocodiles junior is going to try to do his best impression regardless.

                      > "I feel like I can get the job done there but I also feel like I've got a lot of work ahead to feel natural there," he said.

                      > Friend injured his left shoulder against Parramatta in round three and is a doubtful starter for the Broncos blockbuster on Thursday at the SCG, despite the club announcing on Monday he'd been cleared of "serious injury".

If Jarred plays and gets through the game we win. No Jarred we lose.

If Saints pack can man up against the Broncos at their home ground surely our pack can do it this week with or without JWH !!! Stop their pack and their halves are hacks , we will win

                                Keep it together 13.
Jared is important but he’s not essential to winning.
                                Same with Jake.

Bit worried about Jake, reckon it could serious if it’s a neck issue, coulda suffered nerve damage.

Anyway, Vic been superb. He played junior kangaroos last year at 9, so have no doubt.

Plus, Liu can push up to partner Siua. Collins can come back and Butcher gets his chance after being waived on the Bears game. Same for Lam, don’t reckon Cronk will play.
                                ..it’ll be interesting to see
