  • The win is better than you think .
Our team never gives up when the going gets tough I actually thought we played tired after last week ,dont think we really even got into second gear attack wise.
Yeah Cronk was below his best and Lam even though a newbie should be sent back to Norths for blowing a certain try.
Couple of our blokes are carrying niggling injuries....you can tell especially Latrell.
The anzac games are usuallly tight affairs.
Saints had nothing except for daffy s speed .
    Ill sit happy with that.
I think with a few likely softer games we may need to give a few a break.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the universe

    • Congrats guys to win on Australia's sacred day. That's what we all turned up to see.

A ways off our best though , especially defensively in the second half.

I thought SST and Cords the picks, but want to watch the replay to get a better idea.

That Dufty try was legendary, will be in highlight reels for years to come.

            • We are not going to win every game like the best team in the comp but we will many games like the champions we are.

                • Just watched the extended highlights - how good was Dufty's try?! As good an individual try as Stacey Jones' in the 2002 GF.

But how good was SST's try?! Game in the balance and he wanted it more than the St G defenders.

I think I enjoyed the Graham missed tackle more the SST try.
Duffy would be great if he could catch bombs.

                    • After watching the replay I was much more appreciative of the quality of this game and the efforts involved. It befitted an Anzac Day clash.

The heat and quick turnaround from another taxing game was tough on the players and I think contributed to some of the defensive lapses in the 2nd half. Cronk really busted a gut, so I'll cut him some slack for a couple of kicking errors. Lam will really grow from that experience , don't worry about him, a surefire keeper. Angus poured his heart into that game too.

And anyone who thinks the Dragons won't figure in the big end of season games is kidding themselves. Genuine threat.

As stated, Duftys try ranks with the best individual efforts I've seen.

Proud of the boys on the big day. Boyd a deserved motm.

Only downside was Jakes injury. He was super too.

                      • Watching the replay....love unbiased commentary...

Fox Co-Commentator (Kevin Walters?) after Ben Hunt drags down Cords from the head while he is in the air: "I'm not sure what that penalty's about!'

                        moments later:
                        "...could've gone either way!"
                        "...bit of controversy there!"

                        after Latrell's try:
"..the Dragons supporters are upset because of what's happened at the other end"..............."they've every right to be, Vossy!"

                        • Good win after a huge effort in Melbourne. Toupo has been great this year and hope he ends up a rooster for life. Cronk's kicking in the first half was first class, got a little tired towards the end of the second half because he was the ONLY focal point with Keary not there to take some pressure off, and the Saints pressured him, still a class player . Considering we're still to have Liu and Keary back, which will mean Lam's spot on the bench will be gone and lead to better defense around the edges. We'll miss Friend but with Radley covering for him we'll be OK. Collins was hardly missed which is a good indicator of our forwards' depth. Manu is so under utilised you shudder to think what we can achieve with him and Lattrell firing on both sides of the field. overall very happy and looking forward to the rest of the season.

Manu had more ball yesterday than he has had in all games combined this year.
