  • Official Anzac Day Match Thread: Roosters v Saints

Today will be as good as it gets. One of the rare occasions where the SCG will be full and the atmosphere will be electric. It’s time for our mightly side to flex their muscles and put these pretenders to the sword. What a privilege it is to call this team ours and to play on such a significant day.

    Go you Mighty Roosters!

This might just be a grand final preview.

I will admit I fear the Dragons more than any other team, especially on this day as they always perform.

However, we are a helluva team this year.

Ben Hunt is playing extra well, and the clash of Vaughan/Graham vs JWH/SST will rock the stands.

    Bring it on!

If the Dragons are to be our Grand Final opponents then we can celebrate b2b Premierships now.

They might grow an extra leg on Anzac Day but when the whips are cracking we'll lap them; just as we did last year.

I personally see the Sharks as our Grand Final opponents. They have a great mix of experience and top quality youth, plus talent in the key positions. When Graham, Woods and Moylan return they'll prove themselves to be the 2nd best team in the comp imo.

I’m expecting big things from Joey today. His highlight reel this year has been a little lackluster so far. A couple of great passes but that’s it really. He set the bar high last season now it’s time to stand up and show why his greatest is compared to Latrell’s.

this year the merge are week on their wings, our two might have fun days?

Here here! I am feeling confident we will win today and win well. Unfortunately nothing on at the club tonight which is a shame.

I too am confident but a little deflated with the loss of Keary..

Every time we play these pretenders they seem to get a leg up,and now they get another one with Keary out!

We should still have enough though to beat there sorry asses!

I would like to see the team play down a side to then get Latrell good early ball in space from 5/8 rather than 3/4
                    ..it’ll be interesting to see

I’ll be disappointed should the dragons dive and feign injuries. This is a day of reverence not dishonour..

whatever the result, let’s get as many fans out their to show their respect.

may easts win. Lest we forget or as they say in Canada Bay, lest we forgot

Without Keary we will still do the business,

of the last 4 games 3 won by less than 3....not a glowing CV

given the occasion we are battle hard & wont need the flair, our pack should be full strength for the first time in a month

The spirit of ANZAC will have JWH pumped

Pressure from Cordner on Hunt ....game over

Jared is in career best form and I think the game against the Storm was the best if not one of the best games he’s ever played

                          great to see

Not quite full strength with Aubo set to play in the centers.

Unable to attend the game due to being overseas however I shall tune in. I wish the NRL had carried thru with their reverence and traditional respects by having a 3pm kick off especially now that the fixture has returned to the SCG.
