sure ricky took us to 3 gf. point taken and accepted however most of his decisions or approval of since the ricky sacking are questionable. i wont elaborate further on these as i am sure you may well know the ones i am refering too.
1) in late 2006, We had Bennett, he'd agreed to terms and told Politis that it was only fair to let Ricky know so that he could find another job.
2) Bennett then reneged, Sticky had already signed elsewhere and there was no viable options left on the market
3) We signed Anderson as a last resort for 2007
4) Anderson was a complete bust (unsurprising as it was a rushed, desperate options caused by point 2 above)
5) Anderson quit due to his dicky ticker and Fittler took over as caretaker and won something like 8 of the last 10 and just missed the semis
6) Politis then kinda had to give Freddy the job for 2008 and two years later he imploded.
which brings us to Smith - GF in year one and misses the 8 in year 2. Next year will be the real test.Last edited by theticket; 09-21-2011, 05:23 PM.

It all comes down to results. When the team goes well the coach is a genius. We can all "see" what he is doing. When the team does not go well he is a dud and again we can all "see" that he has no idea. I am happy with the place we finished last year and this year while dissapointing was somewhat comforting at the back end of the season. Most expected (hoped) that we would get the spoon.

We need to make a play for top quality coach. By then we will have a very sound base in terms of junior talent coming through the grades plus a big signing or two.
Bellamy needs to be Politis' last big play before he hands over.
