  • Magic Round and Round 10

Who will be doing both? Being in Brisbane, I will.

  • #2
I'm off up to Brisbane for Magic Round this weekend, arriving Friday. Unfortunately have to fly back on Monday and return to work so won't be there for Broncs clash.

Am looking forward to my first experience at Suncorp though. I'm making the trip with a Vermin supporter, so Sunday will be interesting, given my total disgust and distaste for the Vermin Filth. They say silence is golden, so as long as I don't hurl abuse at the Filth as I generally do, I will be doing well ...

We went through school together from kindy so it's closing in on 50 years of friendship - yes I'm an old chook . She was a Chooks supporter when she was younger but she's always been a sucker for a charity case and convinced herself when the Vermin were thrown out that if they were reinstated she'd support them. And she's been true to her word - even her bloody dog is called Rusty ...

She actually came with me to Adelaide for the first Chooks game there and cheered them on, but she knows better to expect that from me on Sunday when the Vermin play.

They'll probably consider me quite well behaved at my worst compared to the Qlders they're used to dealing with.

A chooks fan who crossed to the dark side to support souths. You deserve a medal for not only staying in touch with her but remaining on good terms with her for so long.

I'll be going to both the Raiders & Broncos games - live in the country so have a 3 hour drive to get to the game and then same for drive home.
Always go to our games in Brisbane / Gold Coast - just hope they give the Broncos a hiding.

Just read the faiders are worst for penalties conceded. Anticipate near perfection this round

I'm wondering how Lang Park will be for us after six games of NRL. Surely they'll have smart plans to do whatever repair work they can, if need be. I'm hoping that because we're the first game on the Sunday, we should get a track that is pretty good.

Another good win by the Sharks.

I'm almost certain we'll play them in either the Prelim or the GF.

They'll have a gun team if they can be at full strength come finals time.

Really? I thought they were incredibly lucky. That soft 2 points to gift them the game was not warranted. I wonder what it feels like to be given 9 penalties in a game - guess I won't know in this lifetime. Refs very kind to them throughout I thought.
