  • Why Do We Fail To Receive Penalties?

Went to the game last night.

Our failure to receive any penalties in the first 25 to 30 minutes left us spent.

Having to continually to work out of our end without any infringements by the opposition week after week infuriates me. Mind you, we do a pretty good job of it.

I’d love to know how many penalties we have got this year for the other team being offside or holding us down. It wouldn’t be many.

Its been going on for nearly 10 years now.

Luckily enough we have great side.

Imagine how good we would be if we were treated fairly.

Went to the game last night. Referees were totally inept. Every time the crowd called for a penalty it seemed like Atkins got nervous and blew a penalty.
It frustrates me going to Suncorp because it always seems to happen there

That clown should not have been given such a big game. Totally out of his depth.

The penalty count was roughly even. IMO what happens is:
        - Teams get really excited, play fast against us early on and the refs just let it flow because they don't wanna slow stuff down, advantaging us.
        - We end up getting penalised for trying to slow them down because the ref has their whistle in their pocket and refuses to be like 'haaaang on settle down...'
        - Later in the game they get tired from their initial spell and we find our composure, so they start getting penalised. Unfortunately, this is often too late (i.e. result is already sealed + we are tired from the lopsided penalty count) so it evens up on paper but the advantage has already been had.
        - Often either we're ahead regardless or late penalties help us over the line. To be fair, a late penalty last night almost won us the game. In hindsight maybe we shoulda gone for a try and a field goal rather than taking the 2? Shoulda, coulda, woulda... hindsight always favours the winners. I mean that stoopid Brisbane drop goal woulda bitten them hard if we'd scored the next meat pie.

5 penalties against Sam Burgess just in the first half tonight and he doesn't get binned. I wonder if JWH would be afforded such a luxury

            Outrages , Raiders robbed.

Burgess should have been sent to the sin bin in the first half.

            Fire up Ricky.

It's because Trent Robinson coaches us to give away penalties on our try line.

That's why we don't RECEIVE penalties.

              Apparently.

That was utter bull crap. 5 to one player in less than a half of footy and the mouth he gave the ref should have seen him binned not just once.

Theres no doubt souffs are a good side this year but I’m worried they are getting legged along by the officialdom as well.

Well JWH was afforded the luxury of head highing a Bronco then headbutting him on the ground and not even a penalty.

Then he is allowed to lead with his elbow every time he takes the ball up, the most protected player in the NRL.

Very true, not sure how he got away with that. They are both grubs, but it would be a boring game without them. The red and green just makes one of them a dirtier grub.

Hey Johnnysekret, do you have any update for us on the police charges you advised us about that were to be laid against the woman Sam flashed his todger to? You know, the conspiracy organised by Nick Politis. Has Nick got very long to go before he is put behind bars for trying to set up Big Sam? Cheers mate. Let us know of any other scoops you come up with.

You must have been almost bleeding from the arse after the prelim last year, the pain must have been so bad. And then the following week when we won it all. Man that must have hurt.

Not to mention Keary getting the man of the match... a player Johnny told us would prove to be our worst signing ever.

LOL. How pathetic you are to be here.

As to the OP's question, if you can figure out the answer, please let the rest of us know as it's a mystery.

What bullshit. There is a big difference from being an enforcer with controlled aggression, to being a grub.
