Does anybody know about Lachlan Lam's injury ? I noticed in today's team photo with Cooper Cronk in the background he was in a sling.

Roosters rookie Lachlan Lam has suffered an untimely broken wrist that will rob him of valuable game time across the Origin period.

NRL.com understands that Lam is facing 4-6 weeks on the sidelines after copping the injury playing for feeder side North Sydney on the weekend.

Touted as Cooper Cronk's successor next season, Lam loomed as Luke Keary's obvious replacement when a likely NSW Origin call-up comes his way.

The Roosters' round 12 bye and the stand-alone Origin II fixture do favour the Tricolours, who are expected to have Keary, James Tedesco, Boyd Cordner and Latrell Mitchell involved in this year's series.

Well it looks like Brock Lamb will get a shot before Origin 3. He’s been playing well for the Bears. Just hope he doesn’t get an injury in the meantime.
