Precisely. Headgear may protect against clashes but won’t help the brain if the head hits the ground hard.

We have Cronk, but just depends if he is nursing a paper cut or a runny nose whether he plays or not, grandpa is getting on and can only play 3 out of 4 games this year before a two week break is needed.

It’s a massive blow for Luke and for us but his health needs to come first - give him as long as he needs. Question is - who goes to 6? We are nullifying Latrell by putting him at 6, he needs to stay at 3. From what I saw last night Lamb isn’t the answer.

Harsh seeing he’s played for us with a broken shoulder.

Lamb may be ok if he had one of our established halves next to him, but last night was probably not the night to judge him by.

still can’t see that much in him that many posters had so much confidence that he was going to destroy the knights last night.

Yes he probably expected to play alongside either CC or Keary when he came into first grade. Instead the poor broke had to take the main role. A difficult initiation. He isn’t the reason we lost. Forwards were dominated for the second week in a row. Can’t work out why. Our forwards are great apart from Angus.

I have probably stuck the boot into Angus more than most since round 1, not sure whether it is coach or player, but why can’t he do a hit up? If we are at full strength and flying, I still don’t know what he has added, but it’s when we have been down on troops, that he really sticks out as not really standing out, makes sense? Probably not, maybe a smarter poster can explain this better.

Keary already ruled out of SOO1.

Smart move. Rule him out give him two week break and he’ll be fine. Keary hasn’t had an excessive number of concussions, what’s the count this season two or three? It’s not like he gets a small knock to the head and collapses, he had two brutal collisions which brought on a concussion. Any player would suffer the same injury. I haven’t seen him knocked out so to speak unless during the storm game he lost consciousness. But I understand his welfare comes first and all precautions need to be taken.

I never saw a whole lot in Brock Lamb at Newcastle I always thought Cogger was the best out of the 2 young halves coming through.

But you are 100% right, we can't judge him on last night. The service he was getting from dummy half was horrendous and Latrell was giving him absolutely no help.

Still so much unknown about the full impact of concussion.

Angus looked great at vermin but I think was made to look way better than he was by the players around him. So far he’s done zilch at the roosters and hasn’t justified our investment in him in my view. Just another flop. But then it took Fergo a couple of seasons to fire. We were saying the same thing about him too. So it’s wait and hope but nothing from Angus so far that impresses me at all. Maybe in time like Fergo.

Needs professional help to get his technique or whatever is the problem fixed.

Can't afford to carry him in a rep team until he gets all the head knocks sorted.
Small bloke put his body on the line..Thats his problem. You have to admire that.
Really he should start wearing head gear.
