concussion. Brusing and swelling of the brain. hmmmm good job ROOSTERS for protecting this kid. Luke deserves help. Continual head aches are a sign that there is still swelling of the brain. The NRL policy states 3 concussions in a 12month period. your stood down

‪Report on @100percentfooty that Luke Keary will be out for at least 4 weeks, and possibly 6, after his latest concussion. He has suffered 5 concussions in the past 18 months. Keary will see a specialist this week for further guidance & he has been suffering headaches. Concussion recovery can be unpredictable, wish Keary the very best‬

They seemingly have little concern for player welfare at St George.

Saints often encourage their players to lie down and relax in games. In that Anzac Game a couple of years back Aitkin and Widdop spent more time on their back than John Holmes.

Would all the concerned posters on Lukes welfare be so concerned if say the same thing happened to Cody Walker?
I havnt got an answer for what the NRL should do about players getting 2, 3 or 4 concussions. Guys who have come through the grades from a young age who are good enough to play the game at the top level & get well paid wouldnt like to be told they cant play the game any longer because they have been concussed. I dont think there is enough quantitative data on the subject alot of it is qualitative data. The game is a collision sport & can be brutal which the players understand, it's also the reason alot of us watch it so it is a dilemma for the NRL. Boxing, Rugby, NFL, MMA are all full contact sports & all of those who participate take a risk.
The only advice I would give Luke is that if he has continual headaches then he should give the game away. Should he be compensated? I dont know.

No I wouldn't be as concerned if the same thing happened to Cody Walker.

Perhaps that reflects poorly on me, but just being honest.

Which is why, and I've said this to you before P1, she should retire immediately from professional Rugby League.

An why should we be worried about Cody Walker? As general fans we might have a concern about a player such as Cody Walker but I doubt anyone would be creating a thread about him just because he got concussed. Would You start a thread about Cody walker if he had the same? But what about GI? He's going through some mental Health issues...Why don't you start a thread about him since you're so concern about souths players.

This is a thread about Luke Keary because he not only represents our club but also is a nice human being and we wish for him the best. And I'm sure that we all wish GI the best too...

Who said anything about creating or starting a thread on Cody Walker Roc?
I was wondering if people cared about all footballers or just a select few. I care about them all whether they play for the Roosters or not.

We care for our players first and foremost. I doubt anyone here would be wishing for some bad injury to happen to a player from another team however why would we be concerned about what might happen to a player like Cody Walker. People talk about Lukes injury. Nothing bad about that.

You not we, you wouldnt know how everyone feels. The thread is about Luke Keary & his concussion but it then progressed to what the NRL should do about players who get concussed. Im in to Rugby League first & my team is the Roosters who play in a 16 team competition, I dont really dislike any other team maybe the Broncos a little but I like players from all clubs so I have concerns for all players who get concussed playing the game I love. Im grateful that there is 15 other teams & Im grateful that I get to watch my beloved Roosters play other teams some times winning & sometimes losing. Im not into only showing concern for Roosters players, I'm not one that shows no care for another player from another club but then suddenly changing my mind if they join the Roosters. Your entitled to your way that you follow the game just as I am entitled to my way of following the game.

All good and fine but why have an issue about Roosters fans talking about Luke in a Luke thread? You can follow anyone you want and how ever you want but play the ball, not the player. What did this thread have to do with Cody Walker? Anyway I love your input as Roosters fan but let people have their say about the club without questioning about why we're worried or not worried about other clubs and their players? The opinions are about the game not the members.

I dont have any issues with Roosters fans which Im one of talking about Luke in a Luke thread. Where have I said that?
The thread has nothing to do with Cody Walker I just used him as an example asking if people would be so concerned about concussion of a player if it was not a Roosters player. Anyway I will leave it at that Roc, Ive said what I needed to say.
