St George won the comp with a rejected 5/8th but then they had help.

Maybe having a Mortimer in the club will give us some juice in the Nrl, seeing as they're using Steve for the anti-pokie ads.

whenever one tries to justify his signing by saying how nice a guy he is, then that often means he actually cant play.

Which means he fits the Roosters recent recruitment policies to a tee. Sign him up now Uncle Nick.

At least he'd be a nice bloke who can't play, as distinct from an arewhole who can't, which is what the Roosters tend to sign.

Daniel Mortimer is very eastern suburbs. He is a pretty boy. If i was a poof then i would wanna root him. But luckily i'm not a poof, not that there is anything right with that.

We need some spunk in our attack. Some spark as well. Mortimer can do that job.

Mortimer couldn't be any worse than Pearce.

He was released by the eels and storm before finding his way to the warriors where he has excelled. In terms of natural ability/talent, id be inclined to say mortimer is the better player but he has a lot of work on to go with maloney at first grade level. His head is in the right place, he has proven in the past that he can be unstoppable on his day in first grade, he has been through every junior rep team possible which proves that he definitely has the natural ability, its only a matter of everything aligning and we could have a good prospect on our hands.

Lets not also forget that jono ford is being released (thank god) which leaves us a touch thin of halves depth next year anyway. parra id imagine would still be paying a large portion of his salary and even so, the fact that this would be one of his last chances to make it would suggest that he would accept whatever money he gets.

on a side note, im sure ive raised this before but the other young half still off contract i believe that could be worth having a look at is jordan rankin. he looked decent in first grade in a poor side at the back end of this year and has big accolades from of the best judges and like mortimer, was a prodigious talent as a kid which earnt him so many junior rep honours. im led to believe that it all got a bit much for him and he got a little big headed after having debuted at 16 but since he has been getting himself back on track and is one that i would certainly be looking at if i was POS or smithy especially conisdering his utility value (1, 6 and 7).
What about a young Warriors half by the name of Isaac John. Anyone rate him?
Shaun Johnson is an outstanding talent who now stands in Isaac's way.

                        Farrk you're a suspect Watson!

Talking about rooting blokes then denying you're a poof in the same breath!

Your mum might still believe you.....but i don't!
