You need close to your top 17 playing to beat any of the other 15 teams in the comp & the Roosters simply had nowhere near their top 17 on the field.
Every team lifts when they play the defending Premiers/ World Champions & we saw that yesterday.
I thought Cronks defence was top class yesterday with that giant Viliame Kikau running at him all game.

It was as good as you'd see from any half, especially at 35. Heaven knows that the score would have been without Cronk's defence. Butcher was another who shone under pressure.

We didn’t have our halves or hooker playing.

Keary played, got smashed.
We had a hooker.
Cronk wouldn't have made much difference.
The rest of the talent played.
We simply got run over, same as in the Panthers game.
Our small team is in for a steamrolling for the rest of the year, unless the coaches come up with some magic solutions.
Obviously, if our forwards are not as big as that 120KG prop and the other big forwards at the Knights...Kikau and others for the Panthers, Storm...we have no chance of stopping them.

Regarding Keary, to ensure his continuation in the game, I'm starting to wonder if he shouldn't play more like Jamie Soward and protect himself.

It's probably not in his nature, just a thought.

If he doesn't, he won't be around for long in the NRL.

I have...we lost to the Knights with most of this talent on the field.

No Cronk and Keary off after 8 minutes. No team wins without their regular halves not playing. Not to mention we were missing our Captain too.

Keary is much like Adrian Lam in that he runs to the line and puts himself in a vulnerable position. That is his strength as much as his weakness.

We don't want him turning into a cat like Soward. Those sorts of players run out for the Steelers, not the tricolours.
