Should have taken the two earlier when they had a penalty in front of the posts to level at 6 all. Especially with a part time kicker that is all that accurate from out wide.

Was that the differential/scrum penalty? If so, you can't kick for goal.

Largely influenced by his time kicking a couple years back.

SST is a sweet striker of the ball and IMO the most natural kicker in the team but there's a big difference between part time kicking when you're coming off the bench playing 30-40 minutes a game and kicking when you're playing 60 minutes a game as the leader of the pack. He carried for over 100m in the first half without a break giving him a kick 1 minute before half time was just cruel.

It's impressive he had the legs to make the distance.

I'm always a believer of taking the 2 pts when they are on offer but even this one puzzled me a bit, there was still a bit over 2 mins left on the clock when the penalty was given which would have been enough time for 6 tackles, also the penalty was wide out so not an easy kick. Think I would have only attempted the goal from that position hade there been under 30 secs left on the clock or the siren had already gone for half time.

Stats count for something. There is no certainty about taking the two from that angle with a tired prop kicking late in the first half.

You've just been handed another set of six. Where did I see that stats say that most tries come from previous penalties. In the six you have the potential of a try, perhaps a converted one. You may also get a repeat set, especially with Cronk.

Taking the two, which we never got anyway, was a dumbarse, negative play.
