Cherro reminds me of that other super talented kid from a few years back Ryan Williamson. Incredible amount of hype behind him by the fans with very little to show for it.

We'll see if the karma gods are finally done with him this year.

I liked what I saw from him in FG even though he was raw... completely different to Ryan Williamson.

Cherrington is certainly a talent, however his problem will be overcoming years of injury. If he does return in 2012, I don't expect to see him in first grade (unless we are hit hard with injuries). Generally it takes a year to recover from a knee reconstruction. Considering he has had several

He's an unlucky bloke who owes the club a lot, but he hasn't been hyped up only to not perform, he has been hyped up but hasn't had the opportunity to play.

He'll find it tough to crack the side this year though.

How many games has Cheerington played in FG?
Dont get me wrong I dont dislike Cherrington but what has he done that makes Rooster supporters give him such a big wrap?

I cant remember seeing him play it's been so long, my memory is not that great, but I thought Takairangi last year was our best backrower in the limited games he played. I just cant see Cherrington making FG unless what happened to Steven Bradbury happens for him which would not be good for the club.

Yeah I agree. This year is make or break for Cherrington. He is still regarded highly by many. Hopefully this year we get to see if that regard is well placed. Tom Symonds is also highly regarded by many and IMO he is a useless ranga who would do better dressing up as Ronald McDonald for kids birthday parties.

MRiHK Tom Symonds is best suited runing wide as whole runner. More BS uses him in this manner the better this kid will play. He needs mental toughness & aggression of the likes of Beau Scott type player. This could B his make or break season.

I don't think we can expect him to set the world alight this year. If Cherrington can have a solid year and remain injury free we should persist for another year. It will take him along time to get his confidence back and I have a feeling many on here will judge him too harshly too soon.

Yeah I agree with that Dubai. When I say make or break I would consider making it for Cherrington to be playing most of the year without serious injury, pushing for or making first grade and showing some of his reputed talents. I don't think it is reasonable for anyone to expect him to dominate or push for Origin selection. He has been unlucky but it has been a very long time since he was fit.
