Does anyone know when he's due back from his latest knee operation. I'm not exactly sure when it happened. Good to hear he will have the patella tendon graft in both knees now. It's considerably stronger in the long run. Surely the poor bloke's luck has got to turn around soon. Hopefully he'll be able to push for a backrow spot on the bench by the start of the season. Nothing wrong with a bit of competition. But he could do without playing in the trials.

Two seasons - fark me our club has been generous to this bloke and received little in return. It amazes me how some players are given so much lattitude and others so little.
New baby or not, he needs to actually play some decent footy in 2012 or he'll find himself of the footballing scrapheap and his career will be over before it really began.
At the moment he is nothing more than an injury prone myth.
NCSupporting the RW&B, through good times and bad times.

He's an unlucky bloke who owes the club a lot, but he hasn't been hyped up only to not perform, he has been hyped up but hasn't had the opportunity to play.
He'll find it tough to crack the side this year though.
He starred in the trials before injuring himself this season.
Having said that, I take your point about depth in the forwards. Is it possible to have too much? Especially when it seems to be taking from the depth in our backs (which is very shallow). It is all about balance.

I'm worried about our outside backs. If Moga cracks FG, he'll still need time to adjust. Getting rid of Linnett and Graham was an odd decision. If SKD goes down early we'll struggle.

I remember reading that Smith rates Cherrington and Cordner as the most promising backrowers he's ever coached. It's been very unfortunate for Cherro. A lot of people say whoopdy-doo when it comes to trial form but just as an example Jake Friend was easily our best trials performer this year, and by far our best throughout the season so I think it shows a lot about how a player's year is shaping up. In 2010 I went to the easts vs parra trial where Cherro first did his knee. He was scary in that game. He looked like a young Frank Pritchard but quicker. He did his ACL with 3 mins left right in front of me. By all reports he is actually "that good" that within a few weeks he would be back in the fold for a starting spot. But if he does go down again I'm afraid we can't wait forever.

Also, I agree BF very strange to let Linnett, Graham and Blair go all at the same time. Hopefully Tagive can stay injury free as he will give us a bit of cover if not start the season left wing. If SKD were to go down early our strike in the backs would come down to how well Moga handles first grade. For mine Leilua is equally good as a right centre because of the great left hand fend that he possesses. So I'd have him at right centre and Moga at left centre. But yes after that we look very shallow. Any word on re-signing Rhys Pritchard? Newtown had him playing centre after he came back from injury...possibly the reason. I also think they are expecting a bit out of Adam Henry for next season.
