  • Highlights from Today

    1. A solid 2 points when we really needed it. Lifts confidence, keeps us in touch with the mizzle and souffs. We can close the gap on mizzle in Adelaide.
    2. Some of the younger guys getting old game time including;
Nat Butcher 133m and 48 tackles plus a line break.
    Joey - stand out performance.
    Ryan Hall 229m from24 runs
Cords - very good performance from our captain
TKO - continuing career best season
    Toups - 138m and 3 offloads
    Issac - 166m and 1 x line break
Crichton was better with 46 tackles

all round good team performance across the park.

    Two Questions
    1. Did Faama break his arm?
    2. What has happened to Tetevano? Few weeks ago he was left out for personal reasons and has not come up since?

Commentators said Faama dislocated his finger and went off to get it popped back in. Didn’t see him come back though

Robbo dropping Collins for Faama was the right move, his hands are covered in butter this season and he really needs to do something about that.

& thought that was easily Butches best game to date. He was super dynamic at lock

Butcher was huge today, played a different position but i thought he filled a hole left by JWH doing a lot of tough stuff in the middle.

I thought it was a fair effort, one more getting things back on track. Hard to judge too much as the Dogs were so bad.
Ryan Hall would have run 600m if he caught the ball when he was out on his wing
Joey did a great job filling in

Some really impressive performances today against a shit dogs side which is good for our confidence.

I'm cheering for Hall to do well and I think he's getting better and better after every game. 229m today from 24 carries is great. Most post contact metres too so he's slowly developing closer to what we miss in Fergo. Shame his side doesn't get the ball more in attacking positions.

SST was phenomenal today too as was Butcher and Manu who was a dynamite surprise at the back

Butcher has got to be one the top 3 performers in our side over the past month.

Really exciting to see him progress.

Showing some real leadership at such a young age.

To be fair though, that pass by Manu wasn't the best, and Hall wouldn't have had any room to move even if he caught the ball.

Memories of Johnny Raper, Swinton 1963 LOL

Can't put my finger on it but there is something about Butcher and his midfield direction that reminds me on Andrew Johns organising attacks. Seems to have picked up a James Graham model of early receiver, ball player and relentless defender, fron line or cover. He really wraps the ball up and stifles opposition attacks. For his size it's as our old cricketing commentator Richie Benaud would say 'absolutely marvelous!'

I thought Cordner choosing to play when he could’ve rested and then play the way he did was outstanding. A real captain knock, it said follow me and do what I do.

Was stoked to see young Joey smile and enjoy the game. He has not had a lot of ball this year and more than made the most if his chance at FB yesterday.

I was being a bit rough on Hall, rewatching the game last night, he did some very good things

Watching highlights of Hall’s time at Leeds on youtube, seems he has played on the left side most of his career. Would like to see him outside Latrell and Keary to see how he fares.
