Pearce was asked about that last night on the Matty Johns show. Matty Johns whilst interviewing Pearce said to him that before the Roosters v Knoghts game Robbo had said whilst being interviewed that "Pearce will always be a Rooster" so was that why he kissed the Knights emblem after he scored. He said that he learnt alot at the Roosters but wanted it to be known where his heart lies now.
Pearce also mentioned that he only went to the Roosters because of Rickie Stewart who he never got to be coached by.

I heard that bit too and thought he answered the question fairly and as probably most people would. It was a reaction in a joyous moment to say "I was a Rooster in the past, but I'm now a Knight". I don't have any issue with it.

He also said anything he learnt and acquired was at Easts and made him the player he is today.

That's a very poor reflection of the general mood of the interview.

It was very clear the agenda Matty was trying to push and Pearce actually showed some restraint for the first time since he left the club. He clearly got choked up when Matty read out those comments from Robbo. He was very complimentary about his time at the Roosters but said the moment he walked in the door at the Knights it was all about the Knights and that's where his passion and heart is at this point in time.

Which is what we would expect of every player who walks through our doors. They must embrace our culture, live and breathe the history of the club and the passion of the fans.

He levelled poor old Fletch Baker late in yesterday's game. Could have been illegal though as got sent to the bin for it.

Might have been a get square for next year. Baker looks very promising from what I've seen. Good ball skills after hitting the line. I think he's a country boy.

If he gets graded we'll have a Butcher and Baker, as well as a couple of lammys. Have to rename Angus to Milko then to complete the trio.

Was a shoulder charge to the head, I suspect he maybe missing for a few weeks. He got bashed for most of the game and talking to the coaching staff after the game they were all glad to see the back of him. Apparently had a complete attitude change once he made his debut.

Just watched the Mitchell Pearce interview. Yeah, nothing a Roosters fan could be upset about.
