Yep. Personal Opinion. It is my personal opinion that some fans are giving an injured Cronk way too much credit for our premiership win, to the point of being highly disrespectful to every other player in the team.

Cronk isn't the most talented halfback in the world, but it's his ability under pressure to perform and stay calm, trust the game plan and follow it through without stress no matter what the score is.
It's easy to see what needs to be done from the lounge chair, but try doing that in a game under pressure.
In golf we all know we have to get the ball in that little hole..it's easy in the backyard, but try doing that with 50,000 people watching you (obviously not in your backyard).

I don't care if Cronk doesn't play any regular games as long as he turns up for semi finals and Grand Final.
Cronk was exactly what we needed. It is a shame Pearce didn't stay, it will be interesting to see if Pearce can do a Cronk on Wednesday.

I think Pearcey surely has the talent and ability but just not the calmenss, game management and leadership qualities quite like Coops. I just hope it doesnt come down to the final 5 mis or so as he could cement his legacy for all the worst possible reasons.

You can't play a guy with one arm if the rest of the team doesn't play well but the fact that every other player in the team gave him a standing ovation at the end of the game says a lot.

I hate Smith but would have him over Cronk.
I just think Smiths influence as a captain is worth so much.
As far as the 2018 GF goes, our forwards and Keary were awesome. Not really sure if Cronk had that much influence but we won so all good.

Cronk isn't as good as Langer or Thurston who are both absolute geniuses, but he is twice the player Mitchell Pearce ever was or will be; that's all that matters.

As much as some might be overplaying the role Cronk played on GF day, I reckon there are a few that are underplaying his role in our Premiership over the season and in the finals.

We likely don't win one or both of those tight clashes vs the Sharks and Souffs if the perennial big game bed wetter was at halfback over Mr Cool & Calm Cooper Cronk.

Ultimately it's a hypothetical but I believe it to be a well informed one based on the playing history of both on the big stage.

The proof is when he broke his arm and NSW won, then he came back and qld blitzed NSW, that’s how valuable he was. As a halfback , he would be on par with Langer, different styles but as valuable . While he may lack the individual brilliance of some of the other halves, his composure, his reading of the game, and his ability to engage the players around him is second to none.

Cronk brought to the club a professional attitude that we were missing. And the Storm with Smithy and Kung fu Billy could not beat us in the GF with an injured Cooper orchestrating that win. On a more serious note Coops knee was heavily bandaged during the Captains Run today. When he left the field in Adelaide he was limping. Hope he’s ok to play tomorrow night.
Robbo in the Captains Run presser was praising Latrell at 5/8. Worried if Coops doesn’t play then we will go back to the halves combination we had against the Knights. And we know how that turned out.

Pearce doesn’t play for us ANYMORE! That is reality. Cronk is our champion NOW. Stop living in the past! Get over it!
