  • Jake Friend Injury Update?

Anyone know what the status is? You never know how bad it is with him because he just gives nothing away. Looking at him in the dressing room at half and full time you wouldn't even know what arm was injured....bloody hell he is tough.

Incidentally Butcher's hand knocked the ball back into his knee-at no point did the ball get propelled towards the opponents goal line. Refs have got into the habit of calling everything dropped a knock on. Don't know why Anasta dropped his bundle about it.

There are updates on the other Friend thread. Be out for a couple of months likely.

Anasta has become an idiot. Newcastle should have played the whistle on it. Great try by Nat.

I know some Newcastle players stopped but some chased and didn't get near him. His speed is very deceptive considering his bulky shape. Surprised me.

what i saw yesterday with Jake was a heavily strapped right elbow. The week before he had a light strap on his joint. i think he may have hurt it prior to the game against the knaughts, either at training of warm ups. The anchor point of a one of the biceps is to the radius bone on the arm. This is quiet a serious operation and the heal time can be quiet long.

as you can see the bicep is connected to the radius bone. Jake has the connection point anchored by a series of screws. They usually remove the bone fragments from the lower ligaments of the bicep. sew the end of the ligament together to strengthen the fibres and secure that back to the bone with screws. so the possible reason fro the fracture maybe that the bicept has put excessive strain on the repaired area or the elbow joint has been hyper extended
