  • The Carney Scam

I said ages ago there was a rumour around that the whole Carney thing was set up by him and Myles and the Gold Coast so he could join his BFF there.

    A scam.

    A conspiracy.

Low and behold the coast have just offered him a three year deal "of $60K to $70K per season".

    What a surprise.

    What a disgrace.

Even if it's true I just don't care anymore. If he didn't want to be here anymore I'm happy that he left.

But if the NRL registers a contract for $60k to $70k it's a disgrace.

No. Watts is going to England.
        Good riddance.

In this theory, was Carney in on it?

Or is he just being played by Myles/Searle?

It all seems a bit contrived, but then again, stranger things have happened. If Toddy was in on it, then gee he's a good actor, because I genuinely got the impression he wanted to stay at Easts.

Yep, spot on JT. As discussed in this thread here:

              http://www.thechookpen.com.au/forum/...NRL-Corruption

I don't know for sure that the Titans will get him - but they are pulling out all stops - And most importantly, they are the team that the NRL wants to do well and as such the rules will and are being bent for them (wink wink)

Carney on the loose on the Gold Coast. Yeah that should work well.

As for Carney being in on anything, I dont have him down as that bright.

                  JT is right.

He and Myles have cooked this up.

                  What a disgrace this.

Firstly, on behalf of Myles for betrayal.
Secondly on the culture at our club that would enable this to happen.
Myles must have been really dirty.

                  Who was/is he dirty on?
                  Officialdom?
                  Braith?

                  Its not a good look.
Having a bloke leave your club and then sabbotage an easily led pixie.

                  Pretty good club spirit.
                  Not.
                  barbarian ......arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrgh!!!!!!!

While I agree the culture may not be great, if this theory is true it lays directly at the feet of scumbag Myles.
By the way he mostly played while here, he was only interested in the $s

What the problem?...the Roosters didn't seem to want or need either of them....and waved them goodbye.

"2011 debacle was all Carney's fault", not even counting the breaching of the drinking ban at season's end, remember?

Have the other 4 players who breached the drinking ban been discovered yet?

                      Conspiracy?
Maybe...or could've just been rebels out drinking legally during a ban they considered unjust.

Maybe Titans are doing one of those 'Gasnier' deals...'peanuts' next year then 'gold bars' the year after...all legal under NRL rules.
Dragons and Bulldogs have done it in the past.

Maybe they got a 'desperate-for-a-club' Carney on the cheap.
                      Maybe it's an incentive contract.

Did the club force Myles alcohol down Myles's throat and then make him take a dump in the hallway of that motel? All the good he did here at the Roosters has been flushed away.

Carney has to take the blame mate.

And let's just say it is true.

That is not the type of person we want in our club.

As I said, Carney is a selfish cuunt.

I agree. He may have talent to burn but I'd rather Mick Jagger than Jim Morrison at the club.

And yes, that's a Fittler reference.

The biggest scam was the conflict of interest in letting Anasta have a say in the matter.....either Carney goes or my NRL career is over...
