Also he had a split second to react. When the play is slowed down it looks worse but in real time it’s not so black and white.
He stood his ground and braced for the tackle. He doesn’t know in that split second if Cogger is going to dummy or pass. He’s not a mind reader.

It's a big problem.

It's inevitable that he will miss a finals game or possibly a GF due to his ill discipline.

Why? I think he's reflective of any large, aggressive forward. 2 or 3 times a year he goes a little bit too far and misses a game or 2.

You wouldn't trade him for a lesser forward just because they get suspended less. Frankly - all the Roosters forward cop it a bit. While annoying, this is just how things are.

Im happy for him to sit out a week or two if warranted. His aggression makes him feared by opposing sides but unfortunately that comes at a cost. Happy to pay the price for an absolute on field mongrel like him!

Unless you have another aggressive front rower who sails close to the wind to replace him with then he will be going nowhere. If you want to win the comp you have to have a JWH type player in your team.

I think the words controlled aggression probably already gets used a lot but I would think Robbo & his team mates want him to continue the way he plays. They know he sails close to the wind & they all like that in his game.
